You’re forgeting MLB The Show 18, which according to VGC has twice as many preorders with 9 weeks left than MHW PS4 had 1 week before release. Last year, that game spent 3 months in NPD’s top 10.

Does MLB really still push consoles? By now everyone who wanted to play MLB should have a PS4 imo. I understand that the game is selling well, just like Fifa in Europe, but also just like for that one, new releases don't really push hardware anymore since everybody interested into those games already have them.
