Forums - Sony Discussion - PS Plus: Only PS4 Games Starting Next Year

So basically dropping support for vita and PS3, force these people to trade up or just buy a PS4. This is effed up, may be a tiny number but I can imagine families out there that can’t afford the PS4 or any updated console cause they just don’t have the money laying around. I used to be in one of them families, it’s was basically 1 game a year we was so dame broke.
It won’t hurt Sony in any way if they continue to support PS3 and Vita, this is shit customer service imo and a corporate way of thinking. Ugh...... not in favor.

How long do you expect PS3 support to last for?  The console will be 12 and a half years old when PS+ support ends.

I'm pretty sure it's still only 2 games so it has no real effect on your backlog one way or another.

I thought they were going to increase the numbers of PS4 games.  So instead of 6 games every month (average), it's going to be 3 (two PS4 games and 1 PSVR)?.

Totally fine with it, if those two games are actual AA or AAA titles.

Agreed.

I would get upset except for

1.) PS3 and Vita have free online anyway.
2.) I haven't had PS+ in about a year
3.) When I did have PS+ I don't think I actually played a single free game aside from Transformers and it sucked.

It's a non issue for me.

As long as people have the hardware and are willing to pay for ps+, then Sony should continue to support it. Sony is pretty much saying “gimmi $299 in the next 12 months or eff off”.

That number of people is so small that it really isnt worth it to do it anymore.

Besides, by March 2019, you will easily be able to find PS4's at $200, or even lower on sales.

Besides, its not if the quality of any of the recent ps3 games given were any huge games. From what I can tell, they were a bunch of throwaway indies.

This will let them focus on giving less but more high quality games, something I fully support.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

All up for it. Especially if that means we’ll get more PSVR titles instead.

Lets be honest, we dont care because PS3 games are useless on a PS4. Sony would prefer people get PS Now anyway.

I hope this means more money going into PS4 content. March is awesome for PS+ but its two 1st party games, thats not a big investment.

Lets face it...no matter what they‘ll do, you’ll find a way to complain.

Well Sony could have made this appear as good news by maybe offering 3-4 PS4 games a month or more big budget releases on PS+. Instead it came off as less value.

Since PS4 lacks BC most people dont care. So PS3/Vita games were free stuff many werent using.

Frankly, this is a fair thing to complain about. Less content isnt good news. But I also just bought another year so clearly I dont care that much.

BB and R&C aren’t big budget titles?

Not what I implied.

Also, probably not a coincidence two notable games came with bad news for some.
