Forums - Sony Discussion - PS Plus: Only PS4 Games Starting Next Year

Around the Network

RIP PS Vita.

I would recommend changing that title to 'PS3 and Vita games dropped from PS+ next year'. 'Focus' is an interesting choice of word there and doesn't necessarily preclude other platforms. There could be PSVR titles added regularly (which would still fall into 'focus on PS4') and 'focus' doesn't negate a possible new platform entering the fray. PS5 could possibly be added and obviously they're not going to give us that information right now.

The PS5 Exists.

Lets be honest, we dont care because PS3 games are useless on a PS4. Sony would prefer people get PS Now anyway.

I hope this means more money going into PS4 content. March is awesome for PS+ but its two 1st party games, thats not a big investment.

Lets face it...no matter what they‘ll do, you’ll find a way to complain.

This is bad news for me. My PS4 backlog of games will get bigger and bigger.

That’s great since I don’t own a Vita and haven’t touched my PS3 since the day I got a PS4, but what a weird thing to announce so far in advance.

It’s just fair for Vita and PS3 owners, so they‘ll have the time to cancel their subscription, innit?

I'm pretty sure it's still only 2 games so it has no real effect on your backlog one way or another.

Though they'll probably be games you actually want to play.

I thought they were going to increase the numbers of PS4 games.  So instead of 6 games every month (average), it's going to be 3 (two PS4 games and 1 PSVR)?.

So basically dropping support for vita and PS3, force these people to trade up or just buy a PS4. This is effed up, may be a tiny number but I can imagine families out there that can’t afford the PS4 or any updated console cause they just don’t have the money laying around. I used to be in one of them families, it’s was basically 1 game a year we was so damn broke.
It won’t hurt Sony in any way if they continue to support PS3 and Vita, this is shit customer service imo and a corporate way of thinking. Ugh...... not in favor.
