Yeah, best toss it. It'd better not to risk getting very sick from spoiled meat.

This is a little strange since I just got done doing something similar...I don't have a fridge in my apartment yet so I shop daily and store my meat in a cooler and leave in outside in sub freezing temperature. The past few days it warmed up...of course...and I had to throw out about 10lbs of meat...steak tips and pork chops...so don't feel alone. :)

Meat is greatness.

Well my apartment is tiny and thus the smoke alarm is only a few feet away from the stove. Seriously sometimes I make frozen pizza and cheese might drop onto the coil and start smoking and then the alarm goes off and I have to open the windows and let in cold winter weather.

I never freeze meat. I normaly buy it by my local butcher and keep it in the fridge for maximal 2 days. One hour befor I cook it I take it out of the fridge so that it has room temperature when I cook it.

It is probably not gonna do any harm if you cook it well, but I do worry about the taste.

Also, this should've been a thread about vegans. You disappointed every single person who clicked on it.

Granted I've never held on to a frozen steak for nearly three years, there have been instances where I have thawed a 6 month old rib-eye (my favourite cut), and it was just as delicious as any fresh steaks I've had. Freezing preserves food longer than you would imagine.

Personally, I would have no issues with eating two year old frozen steak if it looks normal after thawing.

Bon apetite! If you do get an upset stomach then you know not to eat two year old steak again. Let us know.
