Like only 8 out of 10 best selling games on pees4 are shooters. The other two being running around and kicking balls (fifa).

Other games made it onto the system like Black Tiger as well. What puzzles the hell out of me, is how the PS Youtube channel had a trailer for Black Tiger. I mean, that trailer basically gave you the full scoop of what you were in for with that game.

Mind you, for each gen, each system has always had it's share of bad/unheard of games. Wii had a lot of shovelware at the time as well. I just find the point of advertising said shovelware to be really odd.

Yep. Only half of the top 50 selling games in the top selling platform revolve around shooting. And yet, PUBG is the game that will make shooting things popular again. Wild stuff. Who knew it was that big. I hear Avengers 3 is going to make super hero films in again.

And this is one of the reasons we continue to get broken games. This game isn't finished yet. They need to finish the game before they worry about ports. This game has terrible optimization. It is not technically impressive enough to run as poorly as it does.

Hey, don't use logic here since certain people are going to ignore it.

Of course, because when you think Sony, the last thing you think is 'singleplayer'. This game is extremely popular. So popular in fact many devs are already adding features to existing games to jump on the bandwagon. Games that exist, like COD, already have their fanbase and so won't change the balance. THIS game could cause a rise in more and more copy cat games and that's what I don't want to see.

There will be articles written about how PUBG changed the landscape of gaming and I'll be sure to post them ...

A game can be buggy and fun at the same time. Zelda OoT ran at a terrible framerate but the game is still very fun.

OT: I figured it was obvious PS4 was getting this game. Whatever numbers it does on XB1, it’ll do more than twice that ammount on PS4. That’s like turning down truck loads of cash. 

Sony already jumped on the shooting things = gud bandwagon, even adding pow pow multiplayer to games like Uncharted and Last of Us. Holy shit they even tried to take some of that CoD pie with fucking Motorstorm, lol.

I mean it doesn't matter the genre or mechanics. A game sells over 30,000,000 copies, which I believe PUBG has (or maybe it hit that many players), publishers are gonna copy it. I mean, you aren't breaking any news here. But it's already happened, there are loads and loads of these games on PC. There are already multiple on consoles. GTA has Motor Wars or whatever. Fortnite added a PUBG knockoff mode. The Culling already existed before PUBG hit the console world. The Darwin Project was shown at E3 and looked good.

I'm pretty sure you enjoyed Uncharted 2, 3, and 4 and Last of Us even though it had MP in it. Something tells me if Sony decides to add a PUBG mode to Days Gone or if a third party publisher adds a PUBG mode to whatever your flavor of multiplatform game is, you can find a way to ignore that mode and still enjoy the game. And ignore games based on battle royale entirely. No reason to be literally depressed about it, lol.

Might as well get ready for it. The game is going to release on PS4 at some point and it's going to sell millions and millions.

Of course, it was stupid to ignore a 70 million + install base to begin with. Once this comes to PS4, it will quickly outsell the X1 version.
