Without a doubt, Sonic R is one of my most loved, hated games. I understand why people hate it, whether it's the controls, music, short draw distance, weird race layout... but I absolutely love the game and have done from the start! I know and adore every soundtrack, how you can master the controls and learn to dominate the tracks. Everything is just so awefully great! 🙂

Knack.

I do agree with Assassin's Creed III though, Connor isn't the best Assassin, but man that game was actually really fucking good, and still feels like one of the most brutal games in the series in terms of combat and stuff, probably due to the kill animations with the tomahawk and stuff, lol. I don't get the hate for it.

... Now seriously, back to Knack; Fuck the haters I legitimately enjoy this game, I bought it day one and was happy to pay full price for it. I know Knack is a meme, but there some of us who actually like the game, lol, it might not be the best adventure brawler whatever you want to call it, but meh, I had fun playing it, and have had the second preordered for quite a while no, lol.

Hell yeah man! Thats what I'm talking about

Skyward Sword (My #1 Zelda game), Super Paper Mario (The only one I've played and beaten) and Wii Music (Played it a lot with friends back then). Even though I wouldn't say that everybody loathes these games, they're the best examples I could come up with.

Totally forgot to mention Super Paper Mario

Halo 4.

Never understood why there was such hate for it, especially amongst the Halo fanbase here. For me had the right mix of classic Halo elements with newer features from elsewhere like weapon loadout.
Conversely, I don't understand the love for Halo 5, which is my least favourite game in tne series.

Mass Effect Andromeda: Played it on Day 1 and Loved it on on Day 1. Facial animations didnt bother me and the story kept me engaged. Archon was better than Saren IMO. Not to mention the gameplay is the best the series has seen.

Assassins Creed 3: Connor is the GOAT assassin in my book and no on can tell me otherwise. Love this game so much.

Agreed with those 2 games as well. I maintain that anyone who hates the ME:A hasn't given it a proper go. Yes, the animations are off and the dialogue and voice acting at times in cringe worthy but overall the game is pretty good.

Enjoy AC3, but will always prefer Ezio to Connor.

The game was a reskinned gears of war with a passable story and non-stop horde mode. Gears is mainly played for the gameplay than the subpar story. The story was never great, but its engaging enough to play. This...does not a bad game make. Besides, Gears is one of my favorite franchise so i welcomed hordes. Horde mode is one of the best things about gears.

The campaign was fun but I wouldnt say it was good. There wasnt even a dedicated horde mode in the game. The PvP was pure trash. And overrun was wasted potenatial. Terrible game.. but the campaign was nice

The only thing I can think of right now is Need for Speed Most Wanted (2012). The map is cleverly crafted, handling is perfect for an arcade racer, the damage model is robust, the multiplayer is integrated seamlessly, and it doesn't have have of the cheesy story of the games past. It's goes straight to pure fun (to be fair I might be biased since I loved Burnout Paradise).

But it had frame pacing issues and was locked to 30fps on PC as well! :p Or was that NFS Rivals?

I guess most wanted was the one with the city? That was really fun online. Burnout paradise did the stunts better online, most wanted was a blast to race with other people. Damn I miss a good arcade racer, paradise, driver sf, most wanted, rivals. DC is great yet after 3 years it's time for something new. Trackmania Turbo was fun but gets very difficult and the online tracks were the same ones on a loop all the time. Hopefully The crew 2 will be good. I greatly enjoyed the first one as well, also not a popular title.
