And just right after I leave Malaysia. Well played Sony, well played.

A handheld gamer only (for now).

Nice!

Malaysia?

Isn't that the country with a president who is objectively worse than Trump?

Awesome news. Didn't know they were doing these shows in Asia too. Good for the brand.

Ah interesting! Very different, didn't see that coming.

Hopefully it's quite themed.

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

Huh, that's interesting. Really cool to see Sony put attention to other Asian markets.

Good to see shows crop up in new places. Wonder if there will be any news from this PSX?

No, that's the Phillipines.

OT: I wonder how big PS (and gaming in general) is in SE Asia. Guess it's big enough to get events like this now, but just how big?

If you are to believe some of the projected figures by market research and consulting firms, it's said to be one of, if not the fastest growing regions for gaming in the world. Between 2014-2017 market revenue for the entire region was set to double to over $2 billion. A massive English speaking population (allowing for the adoption of western titles) a growing middle class with increased expenditure, and rapidly developing services and connectivity seem like the driving factors.
