Maybe Ill do that sometime. I just kept hearing comparisons to this game and Earthbound, so I assumed it was a longer game.

More like inspired from Earthbound but technically the game was also made by a single guy in less than 1 year and half, I'll give him props to that.

Absolutely.

So he did literally EVERYTHING? Even the music?

I think so. There are some amazing people out there. Like the guy who made Axiom Verge.

How much time of each day did he have to put into Undertale and Delta Rune?!!

16.4 hours.

Full interview here.

It's got more than jabs at the internet whiners.

I was already satisfied with the game the moment they said 'all prior fighters are coming back'. Sure, I wanted to see what new would be added, but even if it was just smash 4 with Ridley and Inkling, I'd have been happy with that.

What they gave us is far and away beyond what I ever expected and for that this is my single most anticipated game.

Thanks, Sakurai!

Anyone else noticed that in "partner play" on Pokémon let's go, you can rub Pikachu anywhere and he's always happy... Except for his crotch. If you rub his crotch he always makes a sad face.

I'm disturbed they thought to put that in.

Cyber sale on Switch eShop. This is one of the rare occasions where you get 33% off on various Nintendo games and season passes, such as Breath of the Wild, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Super Mario Odyssey and the two Nintendo-themed Warriors games.

It's a surprisingly decent sale, it's a shame that a lot of the good stuff listed are games I already own. I did take the opportunity to get Valkyria Chronicles 2 though.

Virtuos on porting Starlink to Switch:

"It was extremely technically challenging. Ubisoft had very high standards in terms of what they wanted on the Switch platform. Basically the mandate for us was, 'We need parity between all three consoles'.

Obviously, the Switch is a great machine but we had to do a lot of work to make sure we could keep visual parity between Switch, Xbox One and PS4. We did a lot of work on rendering optimisations, multi-threading, and trying to squeeze the most that we could out of the CPU. Lots and lots of data compression to fit into memory - you name every trick, we tried it.

It was definitely a challenge. There was a lot of late nights and hair pulling, but at the end I think what we were able to deliver is probably one of the best-looking Switch titles out there."

What I want to know is why the hell the Switch version wasn't the lead platform when it was obviously the one that was going to sell the most, surely Ubisoft would've been better off making it as a Switch game then just adding extra eye candy for the other versions?

Farming out the Nintendo version to an external studio when it was clearly going to be the most popular version just seems kinda stupid.

Smash Bros copies are apparently leaking into the wild already so beware of spoilers, don't know how much spoilers matter depends on what the story mode is like I guess. This also means that just like Pokémon and Super Mario Party before it that Smash Bros will prohably be available to pirates before paying customers yet again, when/if someone gets round to uploading it.

Nintendo need to fix these leaks, or at least do something! Piracy is one thing, but them playing the game a week earlier than people who pre-ordered is insulting!

Gosh dangit ! Why so soon ?!

Well the only leaked copies are actual retail atm, no one has uploaded it online yet. But it's bound to happen soon and then the pirates will be smashing while the rest of us will be waiting.
