I guess so, but for a while it was hovering in the 50s, and suddenly it shot up to the high 40's again. It just seemed to happen right around the Horizon preview drop. I doubt the game will be a huge system seller, but I can see some of those videos convincing some to invest in the pro.

Horizon Zero Dawn and Nioh have both got good Pro promotions. I know some people like to pretend exclusives don't sell console, largely because they don't have many exclusives on their console of choice, but it's been proven over and over again that they DO sell console.

It has? Sure, CoD isn't nearly as big as it was, and neither is Halo, but plenty of big Western AAA titles are still multi-million sellers.

Thats not what i ment, there just not many triple a western games anymore, and the couple  that  are there kinda  suck.

This  year we get?

For honor - online required  crap.

Another  cod

Another  fifa

Another  madden

Mass  effect

That uh wildlands game from ubisoft thats going  to be online required  too.

And uhh.

Thats a wrap.

Woow what a amazing  amount.

Errrrr........ Horizon, RDR2, Destiny 2, Battlefront....... and a few others we don' know of yet. Thats very far from having "collapsed".

Most importantly, either of COD or RDR2 will sell more than all the Japanese games. Combined.

Totally anecdotal, but my friend did buy a Pro for Horizon, so there's some "insider" data for .000001 % of the market, ha.

This is going to sound so fanboyish, but I do wish Sony and their partners had spread out the ps4 exclusives a bit more. There are so many of them coming out that I simply can't keep up. I just bought the Last Guardian and Gravity Rush 2, and it looks like I'm going to have to skip out on Yakuza 0, Nioh, and Kingdom Hearts in order to afford Horizon and Nier (plus a number of 3rd-party games, like Resident Evil 7, which was much better than I expected, and Mass Effect Andromeda).

EDIT: Oh yeah, and Persona 5. This poor grad student can't keep up.

Perhaps the Japanese saw an opportunity to make a bigger impact with their games by releasing most of them in Q1. No COD of FIFA to compete with, just a couple or months which are ordinarily quiet when more people are likely to buy something for the sake of having something to play.

Sometimes I think, that this Japanese exclusives flood on PS4 is meant only to hammer Switch launch sales. There is no other reason i can guess that they simply put like 10 AA-AAA Jap games in 3 months.

And that's a good strategy too. Releasing these games alongside the crowded over-marketed releases during the holiday would get them overlooked. Plus they have a better chance of making some money at this stage instead of relying on heavy Black Friday discounts to move.

I love when having too many good games is a problem.

I don't think so .  Nintendo fanbase has own world.

I don't see the issue, if anything you should be happy. Outside of hype, i feel the only games that warrant a day one purchase are online heavy games. Besides those, single player games can always be picked up later.

So the good thing is when you finally do come around to getting those other games you mentioned, they could cost less. I usually buy no more than a game a month myself.

So CoD will sell more than Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Splatoon 2 combined?
