Question: Can Mario Kart Wii sell more than GT5P on first week? Mario Kart is a powerful franchise too, it was the second best selling N64 title, one of the top 5  more selling Gamecube titles, and currently Mario Kart DS is at 10 million.

Wii has a bigger install base in EU than PS3... so, is it possible for Mario kart Wii to sell more than GT5P on first week?

Possibly, but there hasn't been many ads for it yet. If Nintendo just puts out ads like they did with Brawl, I don't see why not... however, GT5:P was hyped, where MK:Wii has not been hyped by many people yet.

Yep, In Europe Mario Kart IS bigger than SSBB.

Here (in Holland) they are already showing prime time TV commercials for MK, something I can't recall seeing for a Nintendo game.

I think it should do over 500.000 first week Europe.

Maybe, who knows. Considering GTA4 is coming out soon, the European gamers might hold off of MK.

ummmmm considering the Wii's userbase is much larger and GT5:P is not the full game, I woud assume that MK will sell more than GT. (like maybe 500-700k)
