Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Reality check: what will happen with Switch

Nintendo fans will buy it and that's it. How many of them are there worldwide? 15 mil? 20? In other words it will sell exactly like Wii U

Nice thread. Maximum effort

I cant see it doing less than 30m.

This is the future for nintendo, a hybrid console thats both.
Its the replacement for the 3DS and the Wii U.

Something would have to go really wrong for it to sell only Wii U levels.

Why only count Wii U sales as fans?  3DS sales are well above 20 million.

Alternatively, it will sell exactly like the 3DS.

More probably, it will not sell exactly like either of them.

3DS came before mobile gaming outbreak.

Quality discussion

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Yeah it's tough to sell but I can't see any scenario where it sells as bad as the Wii U.

Zelda at launch is enough to push tons of systems, plus Japan loves playing games on the go.

The mobile gaming outbreak was already being used before the 3ds came out as a reason the 3ds would fail.  This did not happen.  The 3ds did well and continues to do so.  It is sold out now in alot of retailers.

During, not before.
