Things of concern:

How if at all does the Switch connect to Wii U and 3DS owners’ existing accounts?

We have nothing to announce at this time.

Will the Switch be compatible with existing Virtual Console purchases?

We have nothing to announce at this time.

Will the Switch have its own library of Virtual Console games that starts from scratch, or will it bring over the Virtual Console library from 3DS and Wii U?

We have nothing to announce at this time.

How will SNES online functionality work? Which games will it support?

We have nothing to announce at this time.

Is there a trophy or achievements system?

We have nothing to announce at this time.

Will Switch support Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, HBO Go, or any other streaming services?

All of our efforts have gone toward making the Nintendo Switch system an amazing dedicated video game platform, so it will not support any video-streaming services at launch. However, support for video-streaming services is being considered for a future update.

How much time did they spent developing this thing?

If they would've have nothing to offer in this regard, the answer would look like Netflix and stuff. But they say they have nothing to announce. This more says to me they keep features regarding Online/Virtual Console and so on under covers to reveal at a later point.

That would be totally acceptable if the console wasnt launching in SIX WEEKS!

Be patient, guys. The console hasn't been released yet. They'll announce it in Nintendo's own terms, not by Kotaku, obviously XD.

I expect a virtual console Nintendo Direct at some point that will unveil all the details. I bet keeping old vc purchases will be a part of this, but we'll see.

They can't ruin everything they'll have planned for the direct so their answer is, 'nothing to announce at this time'.

'We're holding information back because we need some headline grabbers for when the Scorpio launches.'

Their next console should just be released at a random date in a mystery box...

Well to be fair, it sounds like this device is being rushed out just to meet the fiscal year ending.

Launch window (while having some big hitters) is relatively quite thin. And that free online nonsense until it is ready to be paid is just DC because their full online service is not even ready it.

Never really thought about it, but it actually makes a lot of sense.

c'mon guys. the thing doesn't launch for another 5 weeks. be patient and just place your pre-order. there will be plenty of time to discuss the details after it launches.

Ya it seems odd that they still have so many unanswered questions this close to launch, I thought thats what the presentation and subsequent interviews & hands on impressions were for.

I hope they do a pre-launch Nintendo Direct or something that clears alot of this up and shows some of their post-launch titles in more detail with launch dates for Spring titles.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

This whole secretive gig they have going on with the switch is hurting them a lot.
