Forums - Politics Discussion - Why all the Clinton Hate?

I don't think I've ever made a political thread yet, and hopefully this will be my last one, depending on the out come of the election in the USA today.

This has been a very close election, and the out come isn't sure at all. None of the candidates seem to have a huge backing, and people are talking about voting for the "lesser evil" in both cases. I understand why you wouldn't vote for Trump, he's a lunatic, a mad man, a child in a mans body. There's so many things that's wrong with him. So I get why you wouldn't vote for him.

But Hillary? What is the deal with all the hate Hillary gets? Is it all about those emails? Or is there something else? I don't get it.

Can someone in a nice and civil matter please explain to me why people hate Hillary Clinton so much?

I just think many people are sick and tired of politicians and their same old song and dance.

I'm going to make my post then get the hell out of here.

I think a lot of it comes from people who take all the lies and conspiracy theories from far-right publications and personalities as gospel. The Clintons have been hounded for 25 years by the Rush Limbaughs and Sean Hannitys of the world, and the Republican establishment made it their job to tarnish Hillary Clinton's reputation once it became clear she was the heir apparent.

Does Clinton have baggage? Hell yes. What politician who's been in the game for decades doesn't? She was sloppy with her private server, she's hawkish, and she's made some unsavory alliances. She's not perfect. Can someone point out a political candidate who is?

The other aspect, and I hate to say it, is that she's a she. Just as President Obama's rise to power revealed the nasty racism that simmers under the surface in America, Clinton's rise to power has revealed a lot of backward thinking about the role and responsibility of women.

Smart move! Hopefully this will be my only reply in my own thread, 'cause I don't wanna get dragged into a political discussion :P

You are absolutely correct. Now run, save yourself.

She's a lying, corrupt sack of shit

It also amuses me to hear the same old line about misogyny and sexism brought up, when most women's only reason for voting Hillary is that she's a woman.

Some of the hate comes from the end's of Bill's presidency. Were it was mired in an impeachment process that invalidated almost two years of his term, and the worse of it was it was because of endangering the security of the United States. Now what he did was leave classified documents in the public part the Whitehouse, what Hillary did as secretary of State was much worse then that and leaves her open of almost immediate impeachment if the house feels like it. (They don't need a conviction from the FBI.)

Some more of it also was Bill's administration using funds meant for Social Security and using them balance the budget, before his presidency there was no talk of social security not being able to support the baby boomer and after. But to be fair that was a common accounting practice in the late '90s to raid the pension funds to make our ledger look better. MCI, IBM, Enron, etc all did that and a lot of retirees are experience cuts in their promised payout or facing the fact that they may loose their pension in addition to lower Social Security.

Some don't like the effects that NAFTA had on their jobs.

So it boils down to they don't want another Clinton in the office.

People will say where there's smoke, there's fire.

There's a laundry list of Clinton scandals - some more or less credible than others. And just enough for people like Dick Morris to make a career of it all. And enough for many people just to rather not have anything to do with Hillary or Bill.

What's problematic is that you get some outrageous claims about Clinton mixed with credible ones. It makes Hillary a polarizing figure.

She's also far from what society considers an ideal woman. She's not a warm, joyful human being. She's a much more awkward, calculating type of person.

Add the fact that some will simply vote for her simply because she's a woman makes a lot of other people cringe. If that doesn't make sense - Imagine if people voted for Sarah Palin for president just because she's a woman.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

To me the reasons to fear Hillary (no to hate her, but fear her victory) are:
1 - She was funded by George Soros.
2 - She wants a no-fly-zone in Syria.
3 - She called for a cyber-attack against Russia.
4 - She made dozens of billions in a fraudulent foundation.
5 - She was involved with funding and training terrorists, and declared she will continue to do it, she call it: "Arm and train moderate rebels".
6 - She wants to push foward christian persecution in America, with the so called "hate-speech agenda".
7 - She is the candidates of the Social Justice warriors, that are turning our world boring and dangerous for free thinkers.
8 - She wants to continue the policies of Obama, which I think are a disaster for America and the world.
9 - She is a globalist.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

The emails are a lot more important than what you may think. The private email server she set up was definitely a violation of the Freedom of Information Act. Not only that but when she received a subpoena from congress, many of her emails were "accidentally" deleted shortly after.

She did not hand over all of the information needed for the investigation, lied under oath about 40 times, and the Clinton Foundation is still under separate investigation over the pay the pay-to-play allegations. To make matters worse she got off easy despite lying under oath and her "gross negligence" of handling classified information

Besides that, she was the DNC's poster girl and thanks to them working together against Bernie Sanders since the start and sprinkle in a couple of super delegates and her victory was basically predestined. Lets not forget her great experience in handling Bengazi, Libya, etc as Secretary of State, those were just a few small mistakes right...?

Trump has a ton of issues himself such as the current lawsuit allegations, Trump University, his extreme words, etc doesn't mean Clinton is the best choice, it is actually choosing the lesser of two evils in to the very end, none significantly better than the other overall.
