Quantum Break finally arrives on Steam, so here are some deals

Timed exclusives are pretty stupid, particularly when you try your best to keep the rest of the gamers on a major platform from picking up a copy of a decent title. Quantum Break has made its way onto Steam today and off the Windows Store (and Windows 10). The Games for Windows Live déjà vu aside, the game is quite good and garnering positive reception from users on Steam.

If you're a PC gamer who has been eying it since earlier this year, you can now pick the game up for your Windows 7 or 8 machine on Steam. Yay. With its move to the Steam platform, Quantum Break has cropped up at various digital retailers and this translates to some nice savings.

Quantum Break Steam Deals

  • GMG Deal (Steam) — $30.35  (list price $40) <- use code: VIP3
  • DLGamer Deal (Steam) — $31.99  (list price $40)

GMG's deal should last until tomorrow (the small 3% off coupon anyways) while DLGamer's deal has an unknown expiration date. Both copies are of course Steam keys and sourced straight from THQ Nordic.

Wait what... you can play this on windows 7? .... was writing a long post about this being a bad move... will let the game sales show if that is the case, silly move imo though.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

so which means in full screen mode and higher performance....rather than windows os based. I do kind of regret the windows purchase.

Steam users seem to be loving it. Enjoy! Probably will double dip after a year or so for the Achievements.

The russian site gamegpu.com has benchmarked this Steam version, and it still upscales from 720p to 1080p like the X1 and Win10 versions, and the performance isn't great.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Not too bad. GTX960 can give you VHQ at 30 fps locked. Seems you can't run it with the budget e-sports cards unless you drop to High or Medium IQ.

Holly shit... the performance is not great? Thats is downright terrible :| Yeah, gonna wait for this to receive patches and pricedrops before buying.

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

This game is post effects and lighting showcase. It makes video cards do things it's not comfortable doing, at least as far as any other game i've played.

Not sure any patches can address the design choices at this point.

Looking at that graph you can see where the XBO version is where it is in comparison to a VHQ preset. Its likely a MEd/High mix, and still looked quite good.

Funny how you two see it so completely different.

Performance isn't great, Mafioso, because an 280X or an 960 are much more powerful than what's inside an XboxOne, yet they don't show that advantage. At the same time, hunter_alien, I wouldn't call it terrible either, as it's playable with a very wide range of cards.
