I believe it is fake simply because where the hell are button labels? A, B, X, Y, even simple lines on a d-pad? None of that?

I hate so much this hybrid idea.
Why would I pay for that damn screen to be sitting there on the dock? I don´t play on the go, I don´t care for that, I don´t want it.
2 skus able to play the same games would be much better in my opinion. I would gladly buy a cheap nintendo home console with normal controlers.
The way it stands I´ll avoid it.

I´m really hoping they decide to release a cheaper normal box with a regular controller, but looks like for me it will be Wii U all over again.

Being able to bundle different games with cheap plastic controllers is also right up Nintendo's ally. 

This sooooo Nintendo it stings. You can make a Mario game with a trackball controller, a Pokemon Snap game like above, etc. etc. etc. Individual games could have unique control schemes.

Uh, yes, modern Nintendo is basically built off the foundation of their time as a toy company:

And that's not a knock or anything to be ashamed of. Yes, Nintendo has the roots of a toy company, this is evident in their design philosophy to this day. And it's a large part of what makes them unique from Sony/MS. Just like very clearly you can see the influence of being an electronics brand has on the Playstation line.
