Forums - Nintendo Discussion - I'm not buying Zelda Breath of the Wild to teach Nintendo a lesson on delaying games.

Is the lesson that getting it out the door on time is more important than getting it out in a finished state? There's an executive position waiting for you over at Ubisoft my friend;D

You do know that BotW got delayed to 2017 so that it can bea NX launch title, right? Also, I bet the game wouldn't have been the same without the first delay.

Actually, they didn't say that it would be a launch title. They merely said that it would be releasing at the same time for the Wii U and NX, and that it would release in 2017.

Of course they didn't, but the chances of BotW not being a launch title range from very, very small to nonexistent.

I have no doubt you will buy it. When the reviews come in and the hype really starts and people keep talking about how much they love it, you will be in line to buy it.

Exactly, he will buy the game like the sheep that he is.

No, he will buy the game because it will be awesome.

So you would rather Nintendo rushes out a bad game in order to meet an arbitrary deadline, than work on the game until it's ready, so it's actually good?

do ou and others assume Ninteno always delays games because they either are not ready or can t be ready?  Nintendo in particular has plenty of consumer unfriendly reasons to delay games or act as if they will launch on a certain dte then to tell us later they will not-  the only change i think they made to the wii u version of Zelda was to take out  the game pad functionality  so it would not be a better version than the NX

A mild overreaction.

A solution though would be to stop putting out the release date until they are closer to release.
But everybody wants to know when, and I think people would go crazier with "under development" after each trailer for years.

"When is it coming!? Why don't we get a date!?!? IM GOING CRAZY!!!" .. well, you get my point

But honestly its a issue that nintendo dont time these releases closer to when their consoles launches.

Its almost like with Microsoft and Halo.

That one game carries the Xbox Brand.

Nintendo need a new 3D mario & Zelda game for every console, those are the reason many many people buy one of their consoles.

I can understand someone being upset, they bought a console expecting a zelda game, and had to wait 2 years extra on it.

Yeah, it was a really big miss in planning I'd say.
Because of that Wii U will be left without an exclusive Zelda game.

I think that is why they wanted Z-Breath at launch for NX.
To amend that fault.

You're like Rosa Parks.

Can we tag this thread so that when you cave and buy the game you can shamefully admit it here? You know you're going to buy it, it's going to be like a timed release. You'll hold off for maybe a few months, MAYBE. And then you will be like, OK this game just looks way too good, I can't resist any more, take my money Nintendo! This is one of the biggest Zelda releases ever, no one in their right mind who even slightly likes Zelda games should be able to hold back from buying it. I'll believe it when I see it, and I am betting against you :P

Well except the "making a difference" part...

Hahahaha...OP is hilarious. :D

You realise that game will sell millions of copies of game (minimum 5m), and if you will not buy your cope that will not change anything. One copie of game is like drop of water compared to big lake.

5 mil? That's a bit of a stretch
