I know Ads are an important fund generation option for the websites. but ads on VGChartz are just too much. and they are even over lapping the content and text at places and make the site visit very unpleasant.

This is one reason i don't visit VGChartz much.

Anyways, I agree with you. Got adblocker, but for some reason ads have begun to pop up like crazy for vgchartz(and vgchartz only). I don't mind ads on the side or at the top, but it's annoying when it covers what I'm browsing

Yes. the have become a real annoyance. i dont use any adblocker because i feel chrome itself is reasonable in blocking ads. But VGC has gone too much with the ad and i think it effects its traffic too.

Yes, I agree that those overlapping adds are very annoying.
