Sonic Multiplatform for (PS4/XboxOne) 32 16.49%

I.... don't expect anything anymore from this hedgehog. I don't understand why it is so difficult for the developers to produce a really good game with him?

What's so good about sonic? I'm being serious because I don't think that the platforming aspect is good and the characters are... annoying :(

Sonic at its core to me was a mix of platforming and racing mentality.  Replaying levels to learn routes to get best times, sort of a short term way of speed running (literally).

I would say Sonic 1-3&K and CD  were all great games that established the series as Mario's main competition.  I'd also highly recomend the Sonic Advance Trilogy that feels like an extension of the 90s glory.  The Adventure titles were solid, even if I really just like playing Sonic/Shadow levels.  Why Generations was so great, it felt true to old 2D titles while bringing 3D into the mix.

The issue is have been some rough entries along the way such as Sonic 06, and since Generations Sega seemingly lost momentum with the Sonic Boom titles.  I still have hope they can repeat Generations, and if it is more Boom I'll just pass.

Which sonic games have you played?

Most of the fanbase long for a return to the 90s games.

oh i see maybe that's the problem. sonic colors, sonic lost world and sonic generations

Personally I love those games, and they are the better post 90s titles. If sonic generations didn't do anything for you, it's pretty safe to assume though that sonic is not you cup of tea :)

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

I didn't see anything that specifically confirmed a new game announcement. Is there something I missed?

There aren't enough poll options. Where's the option for "it'll be a trashy game no matter what"?

So... you want Sega to announce "it'll be a trashy game no matter what"?  How odd.

I'd buy that for a dollar!

No confirmation, but there have been hints out the wazoo if you follow the Sonic twitter. This sound clip is just one of the many hints:

What they confirmed is that they'll talk about the future of the franchise at the party, which implies a new game announcement. It is also a known fact that the main team at Sonic Team hasn't released a game since Generations in 2011, so it is believed they have been developing this game since then.

Sonic Adventure 3 would be great, if they let Nintendo do it :).

Sonic Go, collect all the shitty side characters

Seems like a pretty strong case.
