It will be very interesting to see, what SIE Japan Studio and Sucker Punch Productions have decided to work on next, but beside those two, I feel like we already know what is coming next.
Yeah sure, we don't know what SIE London Studio, Guerrilla Cambridge, SIE North West Studio and PixelOpus are planning next, but we know, that those games will be VR related.

We probably won't see a new AAA IP from any of these studios before 2020-2021, maybe with the exception of SIE Japan Studio and Sucker Punch Productions next games.

I know this is mostly speculation, but let's be honest, it will probably playout like this.

So just like any other company then...

So based on this you are saying that Sony commits to putting out new IPs every gen and then capitalizes on them when they are successful? Interesting, I never knew that.

Yep, we definitely saw all these coming a mile away before they were announced/leaked.

Not really were I was trying to go, but okay.

I meant from this date.

I don't see how you proved them to be predictable...all you really did was list already announced games (many of which were a surprise when they were announced) and made assumptions about there future output, some of which will likely not come true.

They have a long history of unpredictability actually. Which goes hand in hand with the new IP launched, literally every generation they've been in business. In fact, if they're so predictable, what games have they carried on from PS1? How about PS2? All I can recall is gran turismo and God of war. From PS3, we add uncharted and The last of us. So, yeah, I guess the only thing you could accurately predict is that they're probably working on new IP

All i noticed is that there were 6 new IPs in that list. Not including God of War if not for its title could very well also have been called a new IP. And that you are missing quite a few games in that list. Which also include quite a few new IPs too.

But yeah, the are very predictable indeed.

I am feeling very misunderstood right now.

What I am trying to say is, that we likely already know what they will be up to in the next 4-5 years.

So continuing to support successful new IPs for the forseeable future?? Isnt this every publisher ever??
Still getting Mass Effect, check
Still getting CoD, check
Still getting Battlefield, check
Still getting Halo, check
Still getting AssCreed, check
Still getting Zelda, slowly but check
etc.

This is just how the industry works. If it sells then why not make more money from it with a sequel
