Forums - Gaming Discussion - Xbox beat Sony E3 by a long shot

A lot of people are saying that Playstation E3 was superior because of more games that were shown.. However we know that most of those games don't even have a release date!    By contrast if you look at Xbox exclusive games such as Forza Horizon 3, Gears of war 4, Halo Wars 2, Dead Rising 4 etc. we expect them to come out either this year or maybe next year(latest). Now lets look at the Sony games that will come out this year... Last Guardian is one.. I cant think of another one..   How on earth did Sony "destroy" Xbox..

Oh I almost forgot the Xbox One S unveiling which was revolutionary ground breaking i was blown away by how amazing it looks and only starting at 299$? crazy!

What!? No, i  disagree.
To me Sony got a easy win on E3 2016. Most of the Xbox games were shown last year, on the other hand, Sony got new games that, imho, are much better than MS games.
Alson, there are some great games that are coming to ps4 as exclusive this year and that did not appear at sony E3 2016, but appeared at sony E3 2015 or in other Sony events. Games like:

Whit these games, plus the games lauched in early 2016, like uncharted IV and Street Figther V, I'm convinced that Sony have a much better line of games in 2016. More than this, after E3 2016, i'm alson convinced that sony have much better games for the future and Microsoft have a lot of work to do if they want to catch up whit Sony.

To me, Sony won.

Windows beat Playstation not Xbox.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have officially entered the Twilight Zone (or Bizarro world. Whichever is more accurate). Where, at a games' conference, showing nothing but games is a "just", and it makes you lose.

I bet you think they won E3 2013, when Sony showed nothing but games, but MS had "TV, SPORTS, TV, SPORTS!"

As a console manufacturer, I believe you have a duty to show your customers and investors what exciting updates and features are coming to the platform that they play your games on. Sony didnt do that. Microsoft did. I liked that.

Sony showed PSVR launching in October. MS showed a new Xbox SKU which Sony could show anytime depending when they might launch the slim PS4. Then MS touched upon Scorpio not out until holiday 2017.

Put a sure fire nail into Xbox One sales

The hoops people will jump through, man...

"Sony's games didn't have release dates! Their games are invalid!"

"I only care about Zelda, therefore Nintendo had the best show!"

Comedy.

You must not be a gamer. I read today that every real gamer agrees Sony won E3.

I can see you are a fanboy as only they would say what the title says. Xbox S is nothing special but does look cool. I have not seen one person on the internet so far excited for Gears 4. And lastly that glorious $299 price does not come with a controller. Would of made sense if you talked about Scorpio.

I'm sorry, what?

Edit: Yeah it does.

Is that date a placeholder? December 30th can't be right?

I was an early adopter for hd-dvd and blu-ray, yet this time I'm not seeing any movies I really want in 4k so far. And since there is no format war they're $35 here :/ Then you have to watch out if the movie was actually mastered in 4K. A lot of the ones available now are upscaled from their 2K cinema master with mixed results.

The price of the player is very good, the movies and especially a 4K projector is not. Give up the big screen for more colors on a much smaller 4K tv? Upgrading to blu-ray was pretty straight forward. I started with 1080p over color component cable and optical toslink for sound. Now with hdmi 'standard' I'll also need a new amplifier yet again ugh. I doubt the xbox one S will have a separate hdmi port for sound. (which that $400 standalone player does have)

Anyway it's a good price, yet this av enthusiast is sticking with blu-ray for a while longer.

I liked the games they had at the show and all, but ending it with, "Here's this thing we might have a year and a half from now" when no one has a dev kit is an indicator they just wanted to be in the spotlight for something.

Not by a long shot both conferences where underwhelming the only game I'm really looking forward to is Forza Horizon 3 and maybe Dead Rising 4 so I would give MS a slight edge. I do like the X1 slim though, but I'm thinking the smallest version should be 1TB not 500GB.

OP, how old are you?.. Xbox One S? just that? Do you remember PSOne? Ps2 Slim?....

And neither one of those did anything different, other then remove features and get smaller.

You have a point there at least the Xbox One S should get some credits for adding features.
