I'm at chapter 14 for now, i'll give my full opinion later but for now, it really brings AAA games to a whole new level, it goes beyond TLOU/U2 in term of ambition and realisation,  and the gameplay feels so much more organic and fun than any other Uncharted ( never had fun in climbing and stuff in uncharted games, it was just automatic useless steps, but now it's a real part of the exploration, a lot more control on it and with the sliding + the rope it feels so natural and not as guided and scripted as before, a lot of gameplay moments in this U4 would have been cinematics in the trilogy ( i think about this moment in chapter 8-9 when you jump, slide and then jump and use your rope before your fall in the sea and you have a full control of all the situation, this move felt so good )), it makes them look like outdated.

Also, for once, treasures are often rewarding with a lot of beautiful bonus zones to discover ( thoguh i missed the most beautiful in chapter 12)

I am at chapter 12 right now and the game is amazing (duh!). Aside from the beauty of the locations, the acting, the action, what really strikes me is the longevity of this game. And I'm not merely talking about the amount of hours that I spent playing, but the "feeling" of a long and rich adventure. It's incredible how Naughty Dog nailed the pacing, being a much longer game. Every new chapter introduce a new tool or gameplay mechanic and it gives you enough time to become familiar with it. The feeling of progression is really satisfying and it is much more natural and contextual than a lazy character's skill upgrade system (I'm looking at you Tomb Raider).
I love how everything has a context inside the world, especially the shooting bits. There is always a reason why there are bad guys in a certain place and the game just doesn't throw at you waves of enemies for the sake of it (something the previous Uncharted games are guilty of). I can't wait to continue this splendid journey!

Can I find a similar game like this on the WiiU?

I suppose assassins creed black flag would have some similarities it doesn't come anywhere near the quality of U4.

So try black flag. it's a quality game in its own right.

I'm on chapter 14 and honestly each chapter is so good and sometimes long that I feel like I've gamed enough for the day.  Like tonight I only completed chapter 12 and 13 and I've packed it up for the night.  Took hours though because I like to explore and I'm fully satisfied for the day.

Feels like the longest adventure I've ever been on.  It's like playing a movie that never ends. Long may this last.

Its like mgsV Doesn't exist. Oh yeeea! it wasn't exclusive.

Well MGS is behind U4 so...

And the game disappointed a lot of people who expected something in the line of MGS 3. The open world was a mistake imo and im not the only one to think that.

Though there was also a lot of great moments with Quiet.

But the best game of the generation,  maybe until i finish U4, is TW3.

Played the game for a few hours yesterday and man, some amazing stuff from ND.. Definately getting TLOU/UC2 vibes from the game. Only from this generation..

I'm sure it will be considered great by the majority of gamers. I absolutely loved UC 1-3, but I don't think any one of them were my favorite of the year.

I am extremely curious.

Why was anybody expecting something in line with MGS3?
