I haven't looked at the figures for a while but as of the 19th March they stand at:

PS4: 13,475,165
XB1: 11,749,987

3m by the end of May? I predicted 5m - 5.5m by the end of 2016. Is it possible?

I think it will be interesting how people categorize PS4.5

If people try to count it as a seperate console it will not. However, I see the PS4.5 being treated very similiar to how the DS and DSi were treated. Meaning we typically got seperate numbers but both counted for the same grand total. 

Or just use the 3DS and New3DS as an example!

What? No lol. Do you expect the PS4 to outsell XB1 by one million the next two NPD?

Well, we have the rest of March, all of April and then May which is the UC4 month.

I wonder if we will see with U4 release a situation like N64 vs Ps1 with the gap growing much faster after FF7.

It is already the case compared to last year but I think that U4/Vr can make the gap growth every month reach a new high.

I really felt like the XBox one was making some momentum, with gears, halo, quantum break, backwards compatibility...

But there are just some things holding it back, VR is a big deal and there isn't much word for XBox and I feel like the games also being released on PC is breaking the momentum a lot right now.

Overal if UC4 and VR, not to mention horizon, turn out like they could this lead could become MUCH bigger this year. Overall that would be bad for competition, we all know how well sony did last time they had a mega hit with PS2 and then made the PS3 :P

Good for Sony. Qauntity doesn't lead to Quality unfortunately. I prefered my N64 over my PS1. I enjoy the PS4 but its focus on VR is off putting for me.

And we also knew what happened when PS1, was the Best selling console of all times, they came with PS2, a High Quality console, PS3's Problem was just the Price, and Sony, will not make the same mistake again.
