Indeed, the current movement seems more bent on revenge than it is actual equality, which is quite sad because right now it's starting to have serious effects  on boys education, which will effect future generations.  Society won't get better if you exchange one injustice for another.

We're definitely seeing the effects now as male enrollment in higher education is dropping like a rock.  Studies have shown that the divide begins in the earliest levels of education yet it's generally brushed aside.  Anyone who thinks that short-changing the future because of the past is part of the problem.  The negative effects on society are going to continue to grow and they're going to affect everyone.

It really makes total sense though, if you think about it.  That whole sins of the father thing, right? lol.  I'm just glad I'm not a male growing up in today's society.

This list feels offending for me and im not even a woman.

The author isnt the smartest cookie trying to fight feminism with sexsism and generalising all woman,it really puts him on the same level as those extreme feminists.

And i really do not understand the fight of genders, just acknowledge that there are wrongdoings on both sides and do not turn everything into a war.

OMG. Someone really took some time off to write this mess? Yes, women have certain advantages, as do men, but this list is just silly. And if you can't come up with 97 points then don't make a list consisting of 97 points. The author doesn't back anything up and generalises like crazy. Some points are downright insulting.

"11. When I’m on a date things will be paid for me."

"12. When I search for employment I can choose jobs which I think are fulfilling without concern of whether they provide a “family” wage."

"48. I expect a man to ask me to marry me and suffer the potential risk of rejection."

Things might be different over here but this kind of mentality is seen as outdated by most men and women alike.

"14. If I marry and quit my job and enjoy a leisurely life with light housework and then later divorce I will be given half of the marital assets."

Oh dear.

"49. If I lie it’s because I’m a victim of a male dominated society forced into difficult circumstances and not because I’m a bad person."

.........what?

"70. Restrooms for my gender will be cleaner and are more likely to have flowers or other decorations."

Men's restrooms wouldn't be so bad if men would stop pissing on the floor. >_>

"71. If I’m caring for a child restrooms for my gender will more likely have a changing table for my convenience."

Because...women are expected to take care of the kids? I don't know if I'd list that as an advantage.

"77. If I meet a man that I like and I give him my phone number and he doesn’t call I have a right to think of him as an asshole."

"78. If I meet a man that I like and I give him my phone number and he calls me I have a right to blow him off or act like I don’t know him."

Sounds like someone totally not the author has been through some mishaps.

"32. I may have the luxury of staying home and being a housewife but if my sister’s husband does the same thing I’m likely to call him a deadbeat loser and tell her to leave him."

"57. I can cry and get my husband to do something for me that he might not have done otherwise."

"66. If I am married with children and I want to stay home with the kids I’m likely to blame my husband for not making enough to allow me to do that."

"86. I believe that if something bad happens to a man it’s because he’s a loser."

Points like these are actually insulting. As if all women are evil succubi whose only goal in life is to humiliate us and step on our nuts...

"90. I can throw a fit and act like a two year old to get what I want without damaging my mate value."

No, you really can't. You'll be seen as a crazy bitch and everyone will stay away from you.

"92. I can sleep with my boss if I want and afterwards I can sue him for sexual harassment."

You're more likey to lose your job and get a slut/whore label.

"97. It is my right to maintain the belief that men oppress women despite all of the evidence to the contrary"

Damn. No comment.

Wtf is this nonsense lmao and why is it posted on this site? Both genders have advantages, but 99% of the things written here are whiny bollocks. This sounds like it was written by a neckbeard who can't even land a date with a bag of Cheetos

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

There are some great points in this, but he fucked it up by putting some fucking ridiculous ones in as well. Weird that he doesn't mention much about how in every country in the world suicide rate are much higher in men then women. Also it's not a competition, men and women both go through horrible shit due to there genders and we need to work together to make life better for everyone

Well, technically women attempt suicide more, but men are actually more successful in their attempts.

Agree with the bolded, it's quite sad that it's treated the way it is.

I've never understood why that is, in some countries 5 times as many men commit suicide than women, but women still attempt it more. It's very odd.

Looks like someone isn't getting laid and has too much free time on his hands.

Yeah, exactly this. Because male happiness is all about getting laid. If we get laid and are working 12 hours a day we don't care about the issues in the world. This is exactly the stuff this list is trying to point out. You just called OP a loser because you think he is a male and is talking about the very real injustices in the so called gender equality.

I called the author of the list a loser and the OP said it's not him.

And this list of advantages is ridiculous. Anyone could have made a list of disadvantages that are a lot more serious than this.

Please go ahead.

Often being victims of domestic violence or sexual violence, not having basic human rights in some countries, being treated like inferior people by religions and a lot others issiues that are more important than random complaints about university gyms and opinions about Darfur.

Vagina envy much?

The points you marked about the justice system. Who'se fault is that? Have a female police and justice system and see how those pretty women get treated ;) Any sources to back that up btw?

Anyway I don't believe it has overshot equality at all. Maybe you should get in touch with your male privilege.
http://amptoons.com/blog/the-male-privilege-checklist/

And believe me, giving birth is not a pro. All respect to my wife for surviving 2 difficult births with emergency c-section. It's a real advantage throwing up daily for 9 months, then get cut open and unable to do much for another 3 months while healing with a newborn to take care of.

Lol at the 93, that's just offensive. Btw you can't wear perfume in Canadian government buildings.
http://www.ccohs.ca/oshanswers/hsprograms/scent_free.html
A lot of those points are pretty offensive.

Most of these are privileges not rights that is true. There is no actual right that a man has that a woman doesn't (in the west) but women do have rights that men don't and that is the point. Here they are

  1. Women have the right to genital integrity

  2. Women have the right to vote without agreeing to die (or conscriptional immunity, e.g. Austria, Finland, Greece, Switzerland)

  3. Women have the right to choose parenthood

  4. Women have the right to be assumed (competent) caregivers for children

  5. Women have the right to call unwanted, coerced sex rape

However, there are at least 7 more legal rights women have, that men don't (varying by Western country):

  1. Women have the right to lower jail sentences for the same crime USAustraliaUK

  2. Women have the right to not be assumed sexual predators British Airways, Qantas, Air New Zealand, Virgin Australia

  3. Women have the right to government departments that solely serve their interests Office on Violence Against Women - USMinistry for Women - New ZealandOffice for Women - Australia

  4. Women have the right to government-enforced gender quotas Leadership positions in publicly traded companies - NorwayLegislated quotas in national parliaments - Belgium, France, Greece, Ireland, Spain, Portugal

  5. Women have the right to exclusive tax benefits for being a business owner USAustralia

  6. Women have the right to domestic violence shelters USCanadaEurope

  7. Women have the right to not be assumed the primary agressor in a domestic dispute USUK

1. And men don't? I can see where that law comes from as my mother joined the fight against forced female circumcision, aka cutting off the clitoris. Male circumcision isn't as bad, yet should not be decided for the child either. Foreskins can be restored, however not covered by insurance. Sue your parents I guess.

2. Men too. You can always object and do substitute community service or spend the time in jail if you don't want to do that either. Many civilized countries have abandoned the draft. Many women have fought for their right to join the army. Many mothers have fought against the draft. I don't see how this relic of the past is proof of equality gone too far.

3. Blame biology.

4. Blame biology.

5. To call it a right is weird, but certainly it's way more easily believed when a women calls rape. While the blame the victim attitude is a lot less nowadays when it comes to female rape (she asked for it) male rape still comes with a large stigma.
http://www.cracked.com/personal-experiences-1666-5-awful-realities-being-man-who-was-raped-by-woman.html

Well, I'm a male rape victim who has no problem acknowledging that men have dominated every position of power in the history of modern society -- who do you imagine is responsible for creating a culture that ridicules men who cry, get overpowered by women, or otherwise assume a role normally inhabited by women? The Department of Justice isn't run by feminists -- who do you think created the law that, until just recently, insisted that female-on-male rape was literally impossible? All of this ignorance, every single bit of it, stems from the same culture that thinks the harshest way to insult a man is to call him a woman.

In the end, female rape is still a huge issue as well

So for me -- or anyone else -- to decide that my story is proof that men are the "real" victims of the modern world and that women/feminists are thus the enemy, is nuts. All victims are real. All victims should feel like they're able to speak up without being dismissed or ridiculed. If a movement -- regardless of what it represents -- ever feels like it's losing ground by showing empathy, then something has gone seriously fucking awry.

As for the rest, is it up to females to fight these battles for men?
There was one male shelter in Canada, he lost the fight for recognition and funding.
http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2013/04/29/earl-silverman-dead-suicide_n_3179850.html
Yet kinda ironic that it's female activists that bring attention to this wrong.

Maybe these things will become better with equality in government. It's slowly getting better, up to 22% now.
