This is a game that I didn't appreciate until much after it came out. I played the Wii version back in the day and mildly enjoyed it, but wasn't obsessed. This was before I got really into Zelda (Skyward Sword's origin story for the series got me obsessed).

Then, I played it years later and loved it. They mentioned additional features that weren't announced yet on top of hd and amiibo support, so I'm waiting to hear what those are before I make my decision.

Yes, and I'm not happy about it. I wanted a full-blown remake that really brought Twilight Princess into the new generation instead of a lazy remaster with better textures and resolution.

However, I can't really skip it, because:
- It's Zelda.
- I never owned a GameCube or Wii, so I never owned the original Twilight Princess.
- Right now, my only way of playing the original would be through emulation or asking a friend to borrow me the atrocity that is the Wii version of the game.
- And well, the remake is based on the original version, so good going there.
- Either way, it's going to be the most definitive version of the game yet, and my first chance to get it, so...

yea. I feel bad for supporting Nintendo on their cheap remaster, but there's nothing I can do about it.

Here's hoping to a real remake at it's 20th anniversary!

Sigh... that's what bothers me the most. That is, the fact that now we know the chance of a proper remake will only come again in at least a decade.

It was pretty devastating for me to see my hopes of a 2012 tech demo-looking remake happening evaporate immediately. Especially since my suspicions that Tantulus was behind it were correct and I expected much, much more from them than that considering their excellent work on both Mass Effect 3 and Deus Ex on the Wii U. Especially when they treated Ocarina of Time 3D and Majora's Mask 3D with much more reverence and respect then they are treating this game.

I may not like Twilight Princess, but it's a Zelda game, and Zelda deserves better than this. There's no way Nintendo, and specifically Aonuma, aren't aware of how phoned in this is, and that's a slap in the face to fans of that game because the only reason this remaster is happening is because fans wanted and asked for this remake after seeing that tech demo. Nintendo basically pulled a:

Fans wanted the tech demo. Nobody asked for what we're getting and they know that, and that's devastating.

No, I don't buy remastered games and twilight princess is far and away my least favorite 3D zelda and if weren't for zelda 2 it would have that title outright.

yes, i have the wii version and whole the motion control works great, i still prefer a standard controller with traditional controls. and i cant wait to see how they will implement the controller as WWHD works really great!

The Wii version of TP is preferable to the Gamecube version for me.

Aiming with the pointer was much nicer than aiming with an analogue stick. The whole left-handed/right-handed East/West thing is utterly inconsequential to me, I couldn't care less about it.

Yeah, but it's because I've wanted to replay TP for a long time but wanted to do so with the GameCube version for the original map. Also it's been at least 5 years since I did a run of the game, and what better way to replay than in it's best state so far, right?

bet: lost

I kind of want to but I still prefer the Dolphin version and I'm never sold on Amiibos.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

Nope, already played it. There are way too many other and better games on my list. No time to waste.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

This comment wins the thread for me. I really hope Nintendo gives the player an option to play TP:HD with Wii controls, although I won't be devastated if they don't. And yeah, I really don't get the people complaining about the flipped world. So the desert is in the East, whoopty-feakin-do.
