It was pretty devastating for me to see my hopes of a 2012 tech demo-looking remake happening evaporate immediately. Especially since my suspicions that Tantulus was behind it were correct and I expected much, much more from them than that considering their excellent work on both Mass Effect 3 and Deus Ex on the Wii U. Especially when they treated Ocarina of Time 3D and Majora's Mask 3D with much more reverence and respect then they are treating this game.
I may not like Twilight Princess, but it's a Zelda game, and Zelda deserves better than this. There's no way Nintendo, and specifically Aonuma, aren't aware of how phoned in this is, and that's a slap in the face to fans of that game because the only reason this remaster is happening is because fans wanted and asked for this remake after seeing that tech demo. Nintendo basically pulled a:
Fans wanted the tech demo. Nobody asked for what we're getting and they know that, and that's devastating.
