if anything xbox should be getting less slack now then ever,.. have you seen the list of third parties games announced for ps4 but not xbox. it's getting staggering now. and now just the little games,.. amazing titles like Valkyria of the Blue Revolution that just got announced today.

I don't know, if anything this is where XOne should get the least crap. Most of those games are heavily niche titles, predominantly some Japanese localizations that barely sell on PS4 and would do absolutely terrible on XOne. Those developers know it and in nobway should MS be blamed for not paying them to port those games over for a certain flop.

I mean, we have seen October numbers, people who bought PS exclusive Disgaea or Dragon Quest could easily fill a high school gym with room to spare.

Of course it is nice to have some niche games for enthusiasts, but to count not covering that niche against MS is unnecessary. It just seems that the only people that care are those few fans and those that compile lists for silly wars.

MS is better when is facing adversities, and almost never give up. I think that this situation has been, and will be good for Xbone owners.

Tim and The Princes...

Nope. That reveal was the biggest "go fuck yourself" I have seen to gamers in recent memory (With the PS3's gross $600 price tag right behind it)

While Xbox One has really come to its own, it is still important to keep in mind the original idea that they envisioned and that the vast majority of people pushed back against this. I don't think anybody is attacking the Xbox One unreasonably, outside of the fanboy and their dick measuring contest.

"Trick shot? The trick is NOT to get shot." - Lucian

I'm not sure who the article is speaking to.

Media was biased against the Xbone for awhile after the reveal, and rightfully so. It was abysmal, the big wigs handled it even worse afterwards on Twitter and in interviews, some of them downright smarmy in their defense or explanation of their vision. However.. that hasn't been the case for awhile, the media has been loving the Xbone lately, and for good reason obviously.

So if it's not for the media, than for the console warriors? But what a waste of time trying to talk some sense there would be.

Wow, your mind blows pretty easily. 😄 it took a wall of text with no opinion to blow mine.

Eh, I'm pretty easy to please.  Just seeing my wife's ankles make my nose bleed.

To be fair the XOne is exactly were its suposed to be, I mean the X360 was as sucessfull as it was cause PS3 screwed up badly, but Sony and the Playstation brand have an enormous following datting back to the PS1 days, as soon as ppl saw the PS4 was great they went back to Playstation, the fact that the One sells as well as it does despite the fact that ppl were just waiting an oportunity to return to Sony is an achievement for MS and a testament of what they managed to buil on the OGXbox and Xbox360 days.

So every competitor is destined to fail because of the PS1 and they only buy PS because they don't know better? Btw, I think the 360 was successful because it was an amazing console. This doesn't mean the PS3 wasn't, though.

This, the way he makes it sound as if Sony is a literal god that bestows greatness upon anyone without it losing a fight but losing on purpose instead. That simply isn't the case though since the 360 was a good console for that generation and it brought some old and new within that generation.

People are also very quick to forget how arrogant Sony was last gen with their "get a second job if you want our console" which I still find more damning than "always online", especially since PS3 also started out at a higher price point and their cell cpu is also screwing them over with full on BC support compared to Wii U, XB1 and PC and yet no one is giving Sony huge blows for lack of BC, those that don't give it claim they don't care about old games and then suddenly they do when remakes or remasters come about which shows in the end that they do in fact care. I honestly don't know what planet people come from when they pay for something they intend to keep yet don't want to ever play it again in the future let alone on another device of the same brand and yet pay more for the same game with little added to it but still being the same game, I personally always want to play my games both old and new.

Wait a minute. You say people are quick to forget something that happened a decade ago as opposed to something that happened 2 years ago? That some how the Sony's policies with the PS3 are somehow more pertient to the PS4 than the XB1's policies are to the XB1?

Yah ok...

Ironic that you talk about how nobody criticizes Sony for lack of BC. You seem to forget, when PS3 did have BC, nobody cared because it was too expensive. Nobody cared about backwards compatibility for all of last generation, nobody cared for the first two years of this one, but now all of a sudden in 2015 we should care about the ability to play old games why? What's changed?

You make some kind of grandoise assumption that everyone who buys games buys them for the same reason, that they will always want to play dated games that they bought from way back. And that any other motive is Alien? If they sold their old console in the first place, why wouldn't they not sell the games they bought for that console as well? Isn't that a perfectly legitmate reason?

I didn't buy Paper Mario in hopes that I could play it on whatever came after then N64.

In this day and age, with the Internet, ignorance is a choice! And they're still choosing Ignorance! - Dr. Filthy Frank

I will cut them some slack when more games aside Halo, Forza and Gears (and everything FPS really) come out exclusively from them. And i don't mean just any indie or low budget game.

Lets see action games, RPG's and the sort. Less shooters and more of those and i might get interested again.

If the console has games that people want, they will buy it.But no one should be telling anybody what they should and shouldn't do.

You make a decade sound like 50+ years, I almost want to wonder and keep hold of how long this gens blunders are going to be rememebred vs last just to prove a point but you're banking on me not doing that to prove your own if we go by the quippy "yah ok w/e".

Back then it was way too expensive, now it isn't and PC has had that for years, apparently when some people do it it doesn't matter, when SOny does it and it;s too expensive "fuck dat shit", hell Wii even had some backwards compat and to a tiny extent XB360. Why or when can we care about BC?, I mean you claim back then no one (you mean absolutely everyone since you didn't say some so lets make that brutally clear that you factucally mean 100% everyone) cared about BC but now we can't?, well when the hell can we?, no seriously when because I;d love to know when it;s eventually going to be a thing, even slightly important to some people I would love to be told exactly the date and time.

You say I make a grandoise assumption and yet you make a witty quip to make a point, yet  you make it sound like everyone buys games for one reason (to play them in the current time frame of course) and  no reason at all to play nor care for BC since your argument so far has been "no one gave a shit in the past, suddenly it's important to one group and more recently another but seriously why now when no one gave a shit?". What exactly is wrong with a desire to play dated games in the present?, like what is so wrong or super less important than simply wanting to play games of the past on up to date ahrdware, I do this on my PC and my previous older pre-built PC's for years while also playing current games, from PS1-PS2 was great for BC and suddenly it's not important or not a desirable thing according to you and those who generally don't share sentiments for BC.

See if I bought a console of the current gen I would expect that game to run on the enxt system since it has been done in the past with prior systems and PC does it all the time, the very reason to argue against BC seems alien because it's been a thing, it still is a thing and it still matters because it's also part of preservation, I mean EA gave out RED Alert 2 and it;s expansion pack for free on their Origin client recently and having it made to run with the more up to date OS's, what's not to desire?, would you rather play a game once and leave it in the past forever and never ever play it again? (console systems eventually stop being produced and will die before you use the "I'll keep my old systems" as an end all to be all).
