MP is great. And the campaign isn't bad. It's an actually good campaign which lacks some real highlights but only has one real downside, the team AI. That doesn't matter on normal, but it sucks if you play on legendary.
Final issue, splitscreen. Just finished Halo CE with my daughter, though we're only playing once in a while. So we'll probably need months until we're done with all splitscreen campaigns. With Halo 5 we can't.

No splitscreen actually is a standard today. But having splitscreen that usually worked great was a Halo standard.

84 is no average, Watching Dogs was not average

I wasnt talking about "84" im talking about "55"

Well, it's their opinion, it's legitimate if for you Split Screen + campaign were ones of the main composant that made Halo fun so it's understanble, myself i didnt buy it because of this, witjout split screen, it's not halo anymore, it's just an other FPS without split screen

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Despite the fact that all signs point to a solid overall Halo experience. 84 is quite the fall for a prestigious series.

Seems fair to me. I personally rate it 7.5/10 and I've never rated a Halo game below 9 before.

would you say that Halo has come back to the pack? At one point it was a god game (When Halo 2 released it was so far ahead of the next best FPS it was kinda sad really). Now Halo is just another rock solid franchise?

Siperior to what games, even worse games? Halo 5 is notjing more than a generic, bland, boring and average shooter. It's fine if you like it,nut it is not a great game by any measure.

Ah, there we go. You don't know what you're talking about and its a safe bet you didn't play it.

I could say the same thing about Witcher 3. Another generic, bland, boring, and average RPG. But I don't bedgrudge people that enjoy it.

Your expectation isn't realistic. Right now CoD is the biggest shooter around and its kinda doing the same thing it always has with a few new features generally taken from other games.

Halo never left "the pack." The big shooters on consoles are CoD, BF, Halo, and it looks like Star Wars Battlefront will be a new hit. There some other games that do pretty well like Gears and Titanfall. But those are the only relevant online shooters on consoles that I can think of. Splatoon is doing well but I'm uncertain how active that online community is.

I'm guessing you don't play a lot of FPS games. Because Halo gameplay is still pretty damn good even without split screen.

But it sounds to me you were a bigger fan of playing split screen than Halo. In that case, I suggest Star Wars Battlefront. Tons of content and split screen.

You misunderstood, i mean Halo without split screen kills a lot of fun of Halo, it's a full important part of Halo games they removed

Its like Mario Kart without split screen, reviews would kill it for removing that.

And yeah im a big fan of split screen, that's why i dislike most FPS since years, no FPS will be as much fun as TimeSplitters 2, rip splitscreen

The team AI it's crap on legendary, especially in later levels. But the story, well it's simply amazing, as is the mp. And the new moves you got, the old games feels restricted now that I've gotten used to boost, running and ground pound.

@Aerys: I understand that, but it's nothing you can say in general. But as said, i'd have loved to play Halo 5 campaign in a few months with my daughter, so i really see why that sucks.

But playing with friends is 99% of the time online for me nowadays (sidenote: which is why having no party chat on Wii U sucks).

Apart from that it is a great game, though the campaign isn't perfect.

Mario Kart is a shallow product even with split screen. That series keeps getting great scores with virtually the same gameplay.

You couldn't remove split screen from Mario Kart because that's all it is. Playing Mario Kart in a single screen makes you realize how fucking boring Mario Kart is. Halo 5 on the other hand is still a great product and offers a lot even without split screen.

And I'll tell you this, I've spent more time with Halo 5's campaign than ALL the Mario Kart campaigns combined. :-p
