pretty sure AW was the first to be fully deved for current gen as it was the first to have its full 3 yr dev cycle on current gen aswell as having a 2nd dev for last gen so this isnt breakthrough or any indication of the game having a better outcome than the last 2

i thought the last 2 where below average both MP and SP and didnt have more than a week with there MP i still to this date play bo1 MP on ps3

but yeha that sucks for last gen gamers only but they should of upgraded by now as theres alot of great SW now on ps4 and xb1, game should be 29.99 since its only half the content

Multiplayer and black ops 1 I think is worth $50.

Especially with Titanfall (which I can guarantee will have less content than BO3) costed $60 and the internet was on the hyped train for that game until release.

I think this is a reasonable deal

BO3 is 33% zombies, 33% campaign, 34% multiplayer. No campaign means BO3 should cost $40. Black ops costs $10 so this deal for $50 makes sense.

People are saying "oh activision why are you milking last gen?" but I see "hey, let's give last gen players an option in case they don't want to upgrade yet"

If the beta was any indication, even the PS2 could handle the MP map size, so of course the last gen versions get an almost complete MP experience. To me, with CoD being annualized, this is no different than legacy editions of FIFA or NHL.


This, if you can't make the game well on last gen, then make 2/3 of the game well and price it lower

Sounds fair. The PS3 and 360 simply aren't powerful enough to handle the next-gen level of linearity required for the campaign.

This might be more of a way to encourage people to upgrade corrent gen, then technical reasons . I say that because they were able to port several COD's to the Wii original in a functional state.

Also not to mention that they still sell millions each year on old gen, and these gamers deserve better support for that.

I can't see what's the big deal about forcing everyone to move to the current generation. What does they gain with that? I think the difference between 7th and 8th generation tech is so narrow that they should just co-exist until the real next generation comes up. Sure, in games that are impossible on the old gen, they shouldn't even bother trying to port, but in games like this, I can't see the harm in expanding the audience.
