I was a Nintendo sheep till my Wii died. I'd be one right now if they were as good as they were back in the Gamecube and N64 games, a lot of their games lack the charm that a lot of their games had back in the day.

I'm now filled with determination.

Nintendo fans went to gamecube. Few moved to ps2. But N64 had lots of shooters fana nd they moved to XBox.

While I wasn't really around when the N64 was a thing (I was 1 or 2 when it launched) I did get it before getting a 6th or 7th gen console. The system I got after that was the PS2 and then the Gamecube

After that went to 360 > PS3 (around 2010 as main console) > PS4 (Day One even if it gathered dust for a year) > Xbox One (May 2015) and currently own PS4/Xbox One.

I really hope the NX will be the console to bring me back to Nintendo.

Sorry for asking, but why did you buy the X1 if you've alredy owned a PS4? That's a serious question, not trolling. I'm just curious because their library is so similar. As much I want to play games like Sunset Overdrive and Rare Replay, I feel like I had to choose between one or the other. Which were the games that you wanted to play on the X1?

I also added a XBO to my PC+PS4+WiiU a few months ago. The games I wanted to play were Forza Horizon 2 (loved the first one), Sunset Overdrive (love the Ratchet&Clank-series), Halo 4 (hadn't played it on my 360 before it RRoD'd) and Rare Replay (Banjo 1+2, Conker, Kameo...)

Halo 5, Sea of Thieves, Gears of War 4, Quantum Break (Remedy!!!), Scalebound and Crackdown 3 are additional reasons. Perhaps even Rise of the Tomb Raider, if I can't wait for the PC-version.

I bought a dreamcast first, then a Gamecube then a PS2 followed by a xbox

I have three friends that had the N64 as their main console of the fifth generation. Two switched to the Xbox and one went with the GameCube.

Other guy did it so here are my purchases in order:

NES, Gameboy, Super NES, N64, PlayStation, Dreamcast, Genesis, PlayStation 2, Gameboy Advance, Gamecube, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation3, PSP, 3DS, Vita, Wii U, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Ouya

Personally I moved to the GC. However the general direction most of my friends that had the N64 back in the day went with that were more mainstream, went Xbox.

Halo, the other FPSs, Rare being bought by MS and the sports games played a big role in that.

Looks like nearly everyone 13 and above went to PS2 while all the kiddies got a PS2 Jr (GameCube).

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
