No official word from Squeenix, but they did not dispute Horii's words, so it's probably a go.

As an aside, I watched the trailer just now, and enjoyed the part where I am told I can play as my favorite Final Fantasy characters, and then promptly shown my three least favorites in the series' history. Just a fun note.

I've read some varied things. Everyone says it's very fun, but also very short (around 20 hours of total content which is kinda odd for the hunting genre).

Nice trailer with gameplay footage. Is that transforming into Cloud or Lightning or just getting those equipment and weapons? Will check further on those and will check if I can add this to my list for 2016.
