Are we seriously pretending a one week head start is the reason for the PS4 being ahead? It's the price, power, history of these companies. I personally think the RROD situation affected MS's future sales but it's hard to prove something like that.
PS4 had a 1 week headstart in the US, XB1 had a 1 week headstart in Europe.

No, this is proof that multiplatform games are the real system seller and that ps4 is the system to play those games by the majority.

I thought that was already pretty clear. You can tell that just by looking at PS4's software sales as well, where only 1 title in it's top 13 games can't also be played on XBox One.

I am curious what people think about this. I for one thing this is proof that Halo 4 will be huge this holiday. An 8 month old 2014 RE-MASTER is outselling new properties like Bloodborne and Order:1886.. both 2015 titles.. This while having a smaller console base (almost half as much). I think its also proof that its not really the PS4 exclusives that are pushing sales, but more the price , more power and headstart. |

What are you talking about.. i did count .. That is why its listed. with both worldwide and NA numbers. Its not a 2015 exlusive. So my title still is exactly true and the point was more about how Halo 4 will do.. I said a 2014 PS4 game was outselling the 2015 Ps4 exclusives.. did you even read the whole post, or just the title?

I think that means that Halo MCC is a must have game for any XB1 owner that is a Halo fan! Great sales! And I think you meant it is proof that Halo 5 will be big this holiday! Which I am sure almost everyone thinks the exact same thing. Also I am not sure anyone said it was the exclusives that were pushing PS4 sales(though I am sure they do take part in the sales) and the XB1 has been cheaper almost all year and is still getting outsold so you can't say it is price. The Ps4 is more powerful I will give you that and at the last part again....what headstart?

No.. Headstart in being the sales leader is what I meant.. Not release.. as many of said.. First to 10 million often wins the generation.. and PS4 was the FIRST to 10 million.. I agree history could have been another reason.. With PlayStation having a better global brand, and Microsoft screwing up the debut of X1...
