If that's what made Zombi U great, then it sounds like a bad game.

I'm more interested in the actual gameplay, not looking through a bag and hoping I don't get attacked.

The actual gameplay is about operating under the stress of the constant threat of attack.

Well that's most zombie games.

Most Zombie or even horror games don't really make me tense.  I think I know where Curl is coming from.  When resident evil first came out that was really my first survival horror game, it made me tense. Those damn dogs jumping through windows ... I digress. For me I hadn't felt that tension from the genre until I played Zombi U. It really was looking into the pack and and not knowing for sure what was happening around you, you could still hear stuff ... I don't know how to accurately describe it, but it equated to tension for me.

It better not disappoint then and improve.

Have you ever played splatoon? The characters all look like Disney characters and they use squirt guns. You do understand that is 99% of current adults childhoods right? Just because the game wasn't around when they were kids doesn't mean it doesn't appeal to their nostalgia..

Nostalgia is not required for adults to enjoy cartoony games. There is no switch in the brain that makes polite language and colours other than brown and grey become unappealing once someone turns 18. To seek validation through M-rated content is the hallmark of emotional immaturity, not adulthood.

To twist what people say, ignore what they say, and having a fit is the hallmark of immaturity. Nostalgia is a huge part of why adults enjoy cartoony games, like it or not. No one is seeking validation through M-rated content. If you bothered to actually read you'd see I have said already that the rating has nothing to do with it. You can have a game that appeals to adults, that gives an adult perspective that doesn't have an M-rating. Quit trying to twist this into a discussion about rating. It is about having games and content that appeals to the adult perspective without relying on nostalgia, that's not cartoony, cheesy, or oversexed. It's not too much to ask and it's why Xb and PS are doing so much better than Nintendo and why 3rd party developers that actually create that kind of content are running away from Nintendo in droves.

All Hail the Jester King. The King is back, and I am still a dirty girl prof ;)

I would laugh and buy it if it is priced like a $20 indie game. Kind of how Dead Space extraction was full price on wii while being $20 on PS3, or free like I got it with Dead Space 2.

Best thing would be a sequal with the old port free. It is just too old to pay full price for.

If anything I could see them porting what they had done (story, concepts, level design, ect) for the sequel that they canceled on Wii U. I personally liked the game, quite a bit (oddly enough due to it's nostalgic pings for me harkening back to the tension I felt playing the original resident evil as a 20 something).
I would like to see the game get a sequel even if it is on the other two machines.

The other thing I could see if it was a port of the original, is making good use out of the twins capability to mimic a Wii U. Use of the Vita within the game for Sony and use of a Microsoft Tablet with the Xone.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

And when has Nintendo ever relied on oversexualization?

one of my best games last gen, but worst thing about it was the gamepad.

it can all be done with a regular controller with more accuraccy. the item management was poor due to unresponsivness its not like a phone or tablet responce. holding the gamepad up to scan is a gimmick at best.
if it does release of ps4X1 i can bet you the controlls will be much better

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

There is nothing about "cartoony" games that means they cannot appeal to adults. Nothing whatsoever. Adults can find bright colours appealing, as well as clean language and elegant simplicity. An adult does not require anything inappropriate for children to be entertained.

Splatoon appeals to me and many other Nintendo gamers not because of any nostalgic association but because we enjoy it now, as our adults selves. I wasn't even raised on Disney or squirt guns, so your inference there is flat-out incorrect.

I think we finally caught on to a major theme in dark, horror games here.
