I can agree with the OP. Unless Ninty finds a sustainable way to keep going on this industry, I can't see how they will be alive gen "10".

Well unless sony finds a sustainable way to stop losing money with everything they do, I hardly see them on the gen 11 

And unless microsoft decides that consoles are more profitable for them than PC gaming, i´m not so sure if they are gonna stand here forever.

So is pretty much stupid try to predict this. Nintendo has survived all kind of failures on the past without losing money, wich is a proof of their strenght.

Dude, what grade are you in? To make a respectable prediction such as this, you need evidence, warrants, etc. Just assuming rhat people are bored isn't good practice at all. And don't just regurgitate what the internet is saying, do your homework. God knows I had to. This could have. been a good debate thread....

I can confirm that it's been said about every console except the WiiU since N64. After the N64's massive defeat by PS1, many claimed that Nintendo's days were over and that N64 even could be their last, that they couldn't possibly be able to afford to do another console (this was exacerbated by the failure of the Virtual Boy though).

Then they announced the GCN and people were all, "No way! Why are they even trying?! Totally going to be their last!"

Then GCN did even worse than N64 and the cycle repeated - "no way will Nintendo do another console!" followed by "Wii is totally going to be their last!"

Then Wii was a runaway success and the naysayers shut their mouths for a while. Then the mobile explosion happened, and it all started up again despite the billions of dollars Nintendo printed with the DS, Wii, and 3DS.

Well, that's your opinion.
I also think PS5 will be the last PlayStation and will be the worst PlayStation in term of sales ( withouth PSV ).

You mean like that $1.5 billion (with a b) operating profit they posted last quarter? Even their stock is the highest it's been in 4 years.

Yes, but look back to the ps3 days. 5 consecutive years losing money when they sold 160 milions of consoles. Sounds like a very smart management. And Sony is doing good now on consoles and only on homemade consoles, sony as a whole is not doing so well

I predict that humans will exodus to other planets within the next 5-7 years. Think about it, no one likes Earth anymore, and third parties are all about the Saturn.
