Gets a big meh from me, but we already knew that there's going to be a lot of third party at Sonys E3, so this just adds to that. Hope they cut back on media stuff to make room for this.

As xbox one only owner ,this is good for me .

I can watch sony's conference for all the 3rd party games I'll be playing ...

And Microsofts for all the 1st and 2nd party games .

Sorted

😉

From a marketing standpoint this is a huge advantage to PS4, especially in NA. Combine this with Battlefront partnership I think we have a fight this holiday season.

Wow, Microsoft let Sony get Metal Gear, Batman, Battlefront, and COD? There must have been some major budget cuts at Xbox lately if they're losing almost every major 3rd party marketing deal to their competitor. This is the complete opposite of last gen where they pretty much dominated the 3rd party mindshare.

And probably Assassin's Creed too: http://www.dualshockers.com/2015/05/15/did-ubisoft-switch-marketing-deal-again-from-xbox-one-to-ps4-with-assassins-creed-syndicate/

O_o wtf Sony grabbed everything? What marketing deals does that leave MS?

Honestly, can someone explain what this deal does?
They just have Mountain Dew and Doritos appear in commercials and stuff for Call of Duty? That's it?

My guess? they split the bill 3/4 ways, and run a ton of commericals that all feature the Call of Duty game played by some happy teens sitting around gameing with a bag of Doritos and some Mountain Dew in hand.

theres some code stuff when you buy Doritos and mountain dew, that can then be used for something like merchandise or such, to promote people buying the products.

The key thing is the volume of commercials that wil be shown everywhere.

The effect is marketing deals like this usually help sell more consols/games on 1 system vs the other.

This also grabs alot of the semi casuals attention because you cant help but notice the thing if its shown everywhere, eventually they go "why not try it out" and invest in a system.
