Don't want any... They set the graphical expectations too high so no thanks

The use of CGI, as it is currently being employed, misleads too many uninformed consumers. This creates an unrealistic expectation, which leads to disappointment from certain consumers.

I'm convinced that CGI trailers are used to get initial attention, regardless of how truly reflective they are of the gameplay of set game. This is primarily true for MMO's. Which CGI trailer for an MMO actually depicted the type of battle system within their game that turned out to be accurate? It's not even a case of graphics being close, everyone can agree that none of them are; it's an expensive attention grabber.

I think they have a place for creating a first impression for tone or story: see Dead Island 2 for that. It's just been more frustrating every year how less and less gameplay is being shown off (with the exception of Microsoft's E3, which had a surprisingly good amount of gameplay vs CGI).

They are so god-damn worthless and a lie

If the trailers are nothing but CGI then that is bad.

I want to see evidence of good gameplay, not good cinematics. I want to be excited for upcoming games not upcoming movies.

Not a fan of them myself. I`m mostly interested in seeing gameplay rather than impressive visuals. I`m fine if they mix the 2, but not cgi purely. Last year`s games that got me most hyped were the Ninten games because they were mostly gameplay, which really got me wanting to play them...

I'm fine with things like the Halo 5 trailer (not that the trailer was particularly great) where it's very clear that it's just a CGI scene. It's a good way to tell gamers "hey this is coming" which is part of the point of E3. I only have a problem if it's trying to present CGI as gameplay.

They are fine as long as they are used to announce games that are not far enough into development where they can show actual game footage. In other words, only to introduce a new game early in development.

I'll always take gameplay over a CGI trailer, although if it's a game that's far out I won't mind a CGI trailer.

I dislike them...if you aren't ready to show gameplay, you aren't ready to show the game @.@
