Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony Asia Exec: E3 Is Going to Be “Super Crazy Good;” Might Surpass Last Year

Son'y conference bored me last year, so I don't really have much expectations for this year outside Level 5, and Atlus.

Wow, even better than last year? Try not to set the bar too high, Sony. That will be quite a hard feat to pull off.

edit, ok just to be sure I am remembering that last years was not good, I am looking over a list of games they showed off. A lot of CG, little in game, that's fine.. everyone does it. But sheesh, most of the games from last year are still not even out yet. And if not for Bloodborne greatness, their games from last year that have been released would all be hot garbage imho.

I hope they have a much, much better showing than last year.

I don't want to rain on the parade, but I don't think their show last year was very good, so they can def surpass last year;s....

I didn't think so either...

That was embarrassing, but it wasn't that bad. Guys like Kazuo just used some very poor choices in their words. Still a lot better than the initial XB1 reveal/ MS E3 2013.

There was nothing wrong with X1's initial reveal. It was a reveal after all, to show it's capabilities rather than show software.

The E3 that year had as main titles Titanfall, Sunset Overdrive, Dead Rising 3, Forza 5, Just Dance, Killer Instinct, Ryse, Zoo Tycoon, Power Star Golf, Crimson Dragon, Lococycle, etc...

Any other year that would've been considered a jampacked E3 with exclusives.

So we should lower our expectations significantly?

The fact that they think so highly of last years just ruined my hopes for this year...

I'm confident I will enjoy it, but then I have realistic expectations.

The initial reveal was literally 90% media features. That's pretty crumby when we're talking a next gen video game console. Sure, their E3 had a strong software lineup, but software becomes pretty irrelevant when the company openly admits that they're out to screw over the consumer.

0331 Happiness is a belt-fed weapon

so last year sony had Bloodborne, The order 1886, Uncharted 4, Little big planet 3, No Man Sky, let it die, First Batman Arkham Knight Gameplay, Mortal Kombat X, Farcry 4 co-op sharing, Grim Fandango. still people consider it disappointing just coz they spoke about powers.

How can a company openly admit they screw customers? Sure the vision they had for it didn't match those of gamers' (including me).

Isn't that type of service done on smartphones and Steam? And lastly, the only people that found the softwares irrelevant, are the ones that were not gonna get a X1.
