Forums - Nintendo - Metroid U made by Platinum games?

The picture in question shows Bayonetta, wearing what looks be none other than the Metroid armor as she leans on a bar, according to Nintendo NuggetsUnderstandably, an image like that is almost always going to get tongues wagging all across the video game world, and now people are interpreting the picture to say that Platinum Games may be collaborating with Nintendo to work on a new Metroid game.

I love PG, but them making a Metroid game?.....Im not too sure how I feel about that tbh...

arnt they making someting big for xbox one atm anyway. The game everyone was hyped about at E3 last year

You know, after Other M's failure, Nintendo should have understood that Metroid is an exploration game, not an frenetic action one.

So, obviously, Platinum Games isn't developing a Metroid game.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

They usually have several projects going.

I hope not since I can't really imagine Plat doing Metroid even if I love them as a developer. If they are making it, I really hope I will be surprised as to how good it is and not be disappointed like how Other M turned out.

(I know Other M is made by Team Ninja)

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

I'd love it if they teamed with Retro to make the next Metroid. I think that combined, they can create something revolutionary.

Theres also one about the wonderful 101.

So, unless that is going to have a sequal, those are the chances of Platinum doing Metroid. If they do, then W102 is a thing.

I haven't played a Platinum game that I didn't like yet. They're an awesome developer. Not sure if they could make an awesome Metroid game, though, especially the kind that we want. I'm nervously curious.

It'll be awhile before I figure out how to do one of these. :P

Could be for Bayonetta in Smash though...
