Forums - Gaming Discussion - If you could control E3...

If you could cotrol E3 for each company, not in terms of what was shown to us at home or reality-warping polished demos into existance where they likely can't exist, but in terms of grabbing attention and presenting stuff for both the show-floor and for your conference (or Direct... a Bethesda Direct could be cool).

One idea I can't help thinking would be fun would be, on the Nintendo side of things, having migdets dressed as Shy-Guys going around waiting on people in line for any big demos.

Would make E3 to a PS Vita show!

Strobe lights. Strobe lights everywhere. And a real life Kratos

"Say what you want about Americans but we understand Capitalism. You buy yourself a product and you Get What You Pay For."

- Max Payne 3

Usher crashing every single presentation.

That sounds so ridiulous, that it's awesome!

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

nintendo would go first.   iwata would take the stage and play 1.5 hours of meme run.

later at sony's conference sony introduces iwata for a nintendo goes third party announcement.
iwata plays another 1.5 hours of meme run.

Ban any use of PC for show a console game !

I wouldn't. It would take all the fun out of it, it would then become a job and obligation.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

The whole thing would be set up like one of those ridiculous freestyle rap battles, everyone takes turns to make announcement and at the end the crowd decided who won, the winner gets a record deal from Kanye West.

If I controlled E3?

Make it highlights with little to no filler. No silly host trying to make me laugh, information is the focus.

Every company comes out and states how many consoles they've sold World wide as of that E3.

They then bring out games to be released within a year with demos. Yes, even though they sometimes make mistakes I want to see games in action.

By cutting filler the conference should aim to give a wide variety of titles, so yes indies and AAA, and across all sorts of genres.

Next comes the games more than a year off with trailers. Brief to no introduction, show me a teaser that game X is coming in 2016 some time and next year we'll see the playable demo.

If a company has a new system or major peripheral then obviously that would need a special segment to explain the product and show it action, like a Treehouse type presentation.
