XBOX ship 1,600,000. (-20% down compared to last year)

MY ESTIMATE

XBO: 1,100,000

XB360: 500,000

XB360 > PS3 as i predict.

MY CONSIDERATION

XB360: is doing very well for a 9 years old sistem.

XBO: decent numbers, but yeah, pretty bad compared to last year considering it was at 500$ and now is sereased in more countries...

Earnings expectations?
I have 80 shares at 41.34

Koweniki--

When you post the results, could you make sure that the charts you use show a comparison with earnings and revenue from a year ago?? That would really help the forum to see how Microsoft did and whether they are growing (or not).

Thanks!

You have to  bear in mind that MS is in the exact oppposite situation Sony and Ninty are.  That is, whilst they are massively benefitting from a weak Yen now, MS is suffering from a strong Dollar.  So earnings increases will be negligible.

Anyhow:

Earnings: Microsoft is expected to report earnings for the quarter ended in March of 51 cents a share, according to the average estimate of analysts polled by rFactSet. That’s down from 68 cents a share in the same period a year ago, putting the company on course for a fifth-straight quarter of year-over-year declines.  Estimize, which uses surveys sell-side analysts like FactSet, but also hedge fund executives, brokerages and buy-side analysts, expects earnings of 57 cents a share.

Revenue: Analysts are expecting total revenue of $21.1 billion, up from $20.4 billion a year ago, according to FactSet, which would be the fourth-straight quarter of year-over-year increases. Microsoft has bested revenue expectations the previous six quarters. An Estimize survey pegs revenue at $21.7 billion.

Meanwhile, the all-important commercial revenue, which include sales of cloud services, Office, Windows and server products to corporations, is expected to rise 1% from a year ago to $12.42 billion, according to FactSet.

I'm pretty happy about that. Thanks Kowen

Won bet with t3mporary_126 - I correctly predicted that the Wii U's LTD at the end of 2014 would be closer to 9 million than 10 million. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6673287

Cannot wait for these results! Here's hoping both the One and 360 did well enough to have their respective numbers split.
