Nintendo as you may know insists on making a profit on their hardware. I'm not so sure that would be the case. The reason why the Wii U didn't work was because it was released at the end of the PS360 cycle. It wasn't trying to compete with those systems; it was competing with the 8th gen systems. If Nintendo is smart, they'll release new hardware at the end of 2016. This way, having hardware on par with the PS4/XBO won't be an issue because they won't be getting new hardware well past 2020. If the Wii U came out 2 years earlier, many of its issues wouldn't have been issues. It truely did come out way too late.

then they are destined for the same fate. the wii u released while the 360 and PS3 were still flying high and if they release a new console in 2016/2017 the ps4 in particular and x1 will bring an even bigger shitstorm.

Yup I agree. The WiiU wasn't trying to compete with the 7th gen systems. But considering its specs it made it impossible to comoee with the 8th gen systems. Nintendo's horse in the 8th gen race was technically a 7th gen console.

But yh, if Nintendo is smart, they should make a new console for 2016 that is at least more powerful than the PS4. But not only do I not think they can do that but I also feel it would do more damage to their brand than riding this gen out and that they also wont get third party support. cause then they will be making a proper 8th gen console to compete with consoles that would already have a 50M+ lead on them. Not a single third party dev will give them a second look.

Where have the adjustments been made for the PS4 to bring it in line for the 20.2? Where do you go to see the week by week figures for the PS4 since the turn of the year?
