Forums - Sony Discussion - This is why Sony is awesome

The picture above shows just how awesome Sony is when it comes to the PlayStation 4, PS Plus, and the stuff you buy on the PlayStation Store.

After a user purchased UFC on the PlayStation Store, he somehow paid the full price. But since he was a PS Plus member, he was supposed to pay less. Usually in cases like these, the user either doesn’t notice it, or has to contact support to try to see if he can get a refund.

Good guy Sony just skips over all of that and simply refunds the player the correct amount, no questions asked. As the message from PlayStation reads:

“Thank you for your recent purchase of UFC 183. As a PlayStation Plus member, this should have been $5 less. We are correcting the issue and will refund your account within 1 business day”

This is how you treat your customers.

But what if you are not a fan of UFC?

Probably scared of being sued.. They would have done it for those 5 bucks...

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

That was a really nice detail from Sony. Wonder how things like this are going to transpire on future transactions.

Very nice I never knew they did that.

Thats pretty cool.

Meanwhile, in the alternate video gaming dimension that is the Vita market...

I also got a refund once with Killzone: Mercenary because they charged me more than I was supposed to. Nice move.

Has it really come this far that gamers feel they have to be grateful when they get what is rightfully theirs?

I was thinking the same. I once purchased a product through Xbox Live, and for some reason the money got deducted from my account but I received no item. I contacted Microsoft and they refunded me the money plus the item. But I didn't feel like saying "You're awesome" considering the amount of time wasted, nor make it like its news or something. I guess Ps4Daily had nothing else to post.

You mean, they don't usually do this? Customer service is a must for any company, this should be a standard.
