That's good customer service but I have to wonder why the game was listed at full price to begin with?

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I was thinking the same. I once purchased a product through Xbox Live, and for some reason the money got deducted from my account but I received no item. I contacted Microsoft and they refunded me the money plus the item. But I didn't feel like saying "You're awesome" considering the amount of time wasted, nor make it like its news or something. I guess Ps4Daily had nothing else to post.

the point of the post is the user didnt have to chase them up for the refund so your experience differs in that fact.

Sure is better than the shoddy customer service microsoft had in 2008, when i couldnt remove my card details or cancel my xbl subscription without calling up, which i did the day it was due to expire, and while waiting in the call queue, my account was charged and given another years XBL, i eventually got through and asked to be refunded and my xbl subscription cancelled, they agreed to do it, my account reverted to silver an hour later and a week later i still had not received a refund, i called them and they refused to admit they had ever charged me to begin with, and when i stated i had the charge on my statement printout, they shrugged it off and said it "could be for any account", and thus, was the last time i ever used credit card info with games consoles.

I contested the charge with my bank and received a refund, for the record.

No idea what XB customer services are like now, as ive never had to deal with them since i pretty much go prepaid only. But the point in bringing this up is that while customer service should be excellent, and we are and should be entitled to refunds where applicable, and the correct services we pay for, more often than not, the customer services experience is sub par, so when its actually done properly, people get a sense of amazement that under normal logical circumstances, should just be par of the course to begin with.
