Andrew Garfield definitely should come back. His acting felt more believable as Peter Parker & Spiderman. I felt like Andrew didn't get a good enough chance to show his stuff because the actual story wasn't that amazing. Like having the perfect actor yet the script is horrible type of scenario.

Toby Maguire just wasn't believable, just some actor that luckily got the part. Kirsten Dunst was also an ugly Mary Jane.

TASM 2 could have been much better without Electro, instead the focus should have been on Green Goblin from the start, and they should have used the "uncensored" version of Gwen's death.

Garfield's performance was very good considering the script.

lol thanks =)

Agreed, Electro didn't really need to be in that movie.

Just thinking about Electro, and not to sound hateful or racist, but I dont understand why the need to changing certain characters to be black/african american.  Nick Fury, Kingpin, Electro, Human Torch etc..  Does America feel more patriotic if they changed one character into a black person? However, the unspoken "rule" is that the character must not be the main protagonist (because caucasians need to stay as the main focus?) and the only option of choice for different nationality is african american.  These characters have been fully created decades ago that nobdoy should have to considered changing their nationality.  What's next? a black Santa Claus?  I'd love to see Captain America to be of middle eastern decent for the irony lol. But not likely because of the "rule".

Maguire won't play spidey again but he was always the best one for the part.

i think spiderman should stay in his suit and not take te mask off. then they can just get a hobo to do it for a bottle of whiskey.

Taking off his mask is kind of an important part of Civil War for Spider-Man. It's actually, like, one of the most important parts of the entire arc. It would be downright pointless to squeeze Spidey into that movie without ever removing his mask.

PS I read the early comics and I prefer the Raimi movies. There was nothing wrong with Tobey's performance. Most of the complaints I see of the Raimi films are petty things about Tobey's face or Kirsten's screams. Meanwhile the Webb movies have bad pacing and actually seem less faithful to the original stories -- they pull from the Ultimate Universe a bit if I recall correctly. Garfield and Stone were fine but almost everything happening around them was a repeat of the Raimi movies only worse. They brought nothing to the roles than Maguire and Dunst didn't have.

It's funny that ppl on this site feel Electro shouldn't have been in the movie and should have been just the Goblin... I feel the direct opposite. Mainly because we have already seen a Spider Man movie with the Green Goblin in it, and yet to see one with Electro. Plus, from an Acting perspective, Jamie Foxx was the bright spot in this movie... He played the Honest working Geek everyone takes advantage of to the OP Diabolical Super Cool Villian to a T. Plus as Electro he was super sinister looking. I would have totally loved to see a movie dedicated to him as the only villain.

As it comes to race... I didn't have any problem with Electro being Black. Race has nothing to do with his character, so it plays a non factor to me. As Spider Man however, that's where I have a problem. I guess it's because: 1) I REALLY identified with Spidey since I was a child and he's always been white since and 2) Since I am from the area his stories were based and written from, a Caucasian lower middle class living in the suburbs struggling to pay the bills seems so much more factual then being from another race. That's including Black, Hispanic, Asian, Indian... whatever (and I am a Hispanic-American here)!

But obviously this doesn't apply to Miles Morales (Ultimate Spider Man).

I'd put Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and someone as Miles Morales

Keep the Amazing Spider-man continuity. Just push the timing back, so it happened before the Avengers despite 2 releasing after it.

That way you get an older Spider-man so you can stick J Jonah Jameson in there (same actor as the "original" trilogy). You also keep the side characters, because I basically thought they were all really well cast

But at the sametime, you can move on from the franchise a bit and give a fresh new face to Spiderman

I'd also be thrilled with Grant Gustin. Even if him as the Flash at the same time will be confusing (especially as there will be another Flash)

Gabe Newell

Clark Gregg (or perhaps Director Coulson). It'd be a nice shocker ;)

Someone to play Miles Morales, the best Spider-Man ever made

Josh Hutcherson fits the bill. Has the pulling power from Hunger Games too.

I want a spider man 4 with Tobey Maguire,I' missed him! :( He is the perfect spidey!
