Forums - Gaming Discussion - Best alternative to cable tv?

I'm sick of cable tv and the crap they put on it, I'm ready to cancel it and move on, what's the best and cheapest alternative for me. I'm from Canada if that makes a difference).

Netflix + VPN/proxy server

I would give you a site which streams TV shows a couple of hours after they come out on TV for free but I don't think I am allowed to do that so instead, I will give u that one

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Sports are really the only reason I miss TV...otherwise, I'm fine with watching everything through other means, and it is all much cheaper

This

download and install popcorn time. that will cover all your TV shows, anime's and movie needs. Even if you want to just catch up on stuff that you missed years ago. With an app like that in existence, I honestly don't know why any sane thinking person will still be paying for TV.

Then for live sports, check out firstrowsports.com. If there is a live sport on the planet, you can watch it there.

Hulu Plus w/ VPN is a possibility.

Unlike Netflix, you can stream episodes the day after they're aired in HQ, and the content list is also huge.

I wish Canada had Hulu, but it doesn't so I go to one of those illegal sites to watch the episodes not available on netflix. I can message you the site if you want. Also I hate shaw cable.
