Idris could easily do it. Love him. From ghost rider, pacific rim, thors, prometheus, he even has been on some tv shows about rally driving. Guy screams, brit, swagger, and class.

Where i think bond is missing is in the story, girls, and gadgets. I remember watching the pierce bonds and seeing all the cool stuff going on. Seems like they are all about austin martins, suits (bathing and standard), and having bond get his ass kicked.

I say bullshit PC in the name of diversification. He is also too old.

Would have loved him 5 or maybe 8 years ago... I think he is too old now, which sucks because if ever there would be a black Bond, Idris has the chops to pull it off.

Elba is a perfect fit. Dude is a great actor and unlike other movies that try TOO HARD to diversify their characters dude fits the role. Watch Luther and tell me he isn't a great choice.

If they can get the character right, black, white, or Mediterranean can work for Bond easily. I think having a race change would be interesting.

Why would it be PC? Have you ever seen Idris Elba act? Also Idris is 42...technically the perfect age to play bond (Brosnan and Craig) and he's british. Most seasoned actors get the role in their late 30's- 40's. He was also hands down the best actor in pacific rim and he was also in thor. He also pulls off a pretty good American accent to boot. The guy is an actors actor and stuck through more diverse role types than Craig. 

A lot of people want him to play Green Lantern as well. If DC got him to play John Stewart....DC take my money!

Dude, spoilers much. Talking about potential Bond or changes in character for Hollywood should not bring up who is in those films... 

I think I need to leave the internet, I'm already annoyed I can't watch movie trailers anymore (I had 5 months of bliss after GotG).

If they cast this guy, it will bomb hard.
