It'll pass Wii, but 360 retail... I don't think so. They might tie.

Including digital however, no way does PS3 pass 360.

Why do you think digital sales are higher in the Xbox marketplace than in the PS Stores?

Sony seems more invested in digital sales than Microsoft and Nintendo... many discounted games every week in the PSN-Sales.

Yes it will. Its decline ratio is a lot smoothier. Ps3 have to hit 100M HW-1B SW and x360 will be quite close. Like 90-95M HW and 950-1000M SW.

We will have to wait like 5 years to be certain.

I also believe that, I still remember my thread about the PS3 going over 100M and passing the Wii, I also said 5 years to that to happen xD

Gonna have to wait a lot.

I have the patience to see it happen.

It depends on when they will be discontinued!Taking into account ps2 11 years lifetime, for me death of ps3 and xbox360 is coming in 2017!10m and 15m sales in two years is quite difficult but apparently you expect far longer lifetime!

The maximum in my opinion for ps3 is 90m and for xbox360 quite below it!With USA only in xbox360 case and Europe in ps3 case,is way tough for beyond 90m numbers!

Think it,of course I don't want to agree with me lol.:P

Given the 50%-60% drop, they will be at 85m or even a little bit below 85m by the end of the year!

Huh, I had no idea that the PS3 was actually closing the gap between it and the 360. Overall I think it will be a practical tie but it could pass it in 2016 or 2017 if trends remain the same and decline isn't too harsh.

Easy.

Wii is a given. XB360 not so much.

...Let the Sony Domination continue with the PS4...

I wish ioi would finally add the 15m+ 360 software sales (and with it the ~7 million sellers) that were lost with a previous VGC update.
But I guess that will never happen....

It should pass the Xbox 360 Software in just over half a year.

Just checked and PS3 has closed the gap 21 million this year already.

21million on the Wii or 360?

Because if that's just on the 360 then it has a chance. Especially when you consider the 360 usually sold more software this time of the year but so far (up to the end of november) the PS3 has easily sold more.

over 360 according to VGC database
