So I will wait 2 more years, by then I have gathered enough games through XBLG to get a system for under 100 euros and a ton of games! MS is really the best company on earth! <3

Jokes aside. This is a great deal. The Wii U price is no longer an advantage.

Is Microsoft selling xbone at a price very under the manufacturing cost...?

Likely, but this is Walmart.

ah...so stores do what they want?companies don t impose the prices and discounts?loool i might asked something stupid, but answer me:P

Yes, and when a black friday price leaks for one store the others know where to make their price so people come to them to shop for everything.

Who'd have thought that one year ago today? Insane.

The power of $80bn held in cash is in full effect....

Now, where are all those people saying the overall business and its profits and losses are irrelevant to gaming?

Shame they didn't use all that money to make a more powerful console at a more attractive price to start with.  They would have saved themselves a lot of bother

Indeed. MS could end this war tomorrow and cut to $99 and still make billions profit every Q.

Xbox 360 at $99 to.

meanwhile we are getting a $400 ps4 bundle for bf :(.
sony seems to be pretty confident or they are in more financial problems than I thought.

It wouldn't surprise me if not only the xbone outsells the ps4 on bf, but also takes the lead in the us ltd with this deal.

It's basic economics. You don't have to drop the price of a product if people are still buying it, in high capacity, at the current price. PS4 is selling beyond all expectations, so $400 is the smart thing to do. Xbone is selling below expectations, so dropping the price, packing games for free, etc is the smart thing to do to try to meet expectations.

Wii didn't drop price for 3 years because it was selling so well. PS2 didn't drop price for 2 years because it was selling so well. When your bottom line isn't affected by whatever measures your competitor takes, why should you respond? Yea, it'd be nice if the PS4 could drop $200 in one year, but we've voted with our wallets and we told them that at $400, we'd give them sales that they couldn't even explain.
