Forums - Sales Discussion - UK Charts Week Ending 11 October

FIFA 15 PS4 doing well and a great sign for Sony in the UK. Should have great legs and pass the X360 version over the holidays as more X360 owners upgrade to PS4.

This will likely be the last dash holiday for X360 in the UK and I suspect in the coming months PS4 will get sizeable bumps as more people jump ship. Especially with Sony’s 2015 line up.

Considering there was a free comprehensive demo that should deviate some sales first week, discounted digital version that should take some of the retail sales and not flatering reviews on a new IP it is acceptable position to launch in as single format.

There is still no free demo for it.

Actually, a free demo was never announced, as far as I can remember. That comprehensive demo was supposed to be available only to PS+ subscribers, so basically hidden behind a pay-wall.

Alien Isolation Platform %
PS4 41%
X1 31%
360 14%
PS3 10%

Great hold for FH2 on ONE, will show great legs as usual for Forza titles.

Too early to coment on DC, but it doesn't look too great.

PS3 is dropping off the radar very quickly in the UK.  I suspect it is being overtracked there now.

Based on what? Only the mainstream multiplats? As of 30th july iirc (don't quite remember the exact month, but it was either July or June) the PS3 had, according to GFK, sold more software per console YTD that the 360 in the UK, so it does actually seem like it's holding pretty good.

So driveclub sold between 25k and 30k this week. Pretty poor considering last week Shadow of Mordor sold 52k on PS4 alone

Driveclub, I wonder just how low the sales of Driveclub would of been had people had the chance to see how poorly it was rated overall by reviewers beforehand and would Anyone have bought it if they had any hint of how the servers were going to turn out ?.

Driveclub approx. 25-33k

Pretty poor? its good for me considering its new IP, average reviews and DC price is cheap in digital and many would have choose that path.

GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

based on the charts... obviously

But it's obviously not based on software sales, because as I just told you, the PS3 has sold more software per console in 2014 than the xbox 360. So either the 360 is dropping of the radar as well, or neither of them are. But of course, if you choose to ignore evidence, then whatever suits you.

shadow always sticking around on amazon, hope it does well

think i'll have a look at alien when it gets a bit cheaper as it sounds pretty good but bought too many full price games recently, for me anyway and will buy FC4 or DA:I full whack next month
