so it takes the same amount of time to finish a halo game? not too bad but I was expecting it to be longer.
better than a lot of shooters though

Destiny is advertised as RPG first. Not Halo.

destiny is a shooter with RPG elements in it. i made the halo comparison because they're both made by bungie.

So let's compare Wonderful 101 and Vanquish they're both made by Platinum G.

Bungie and Activision advertized Destiny as a more advanced Borderlands on the RPG aspect, with a social feature aspect that resembles a MMO.

That's a very different approach of Halo, which is linear and very story driven.

Seems like a LOT of people are hoping the game will suck/fail, then following up with posts and reviews that prove their myopic points. Its a HUGE game...yes, you can "speedrun" your way through the main story quickly...but that kind of defeats the whole point of how the game is played, no?

For comparison, you can blow through Diablo III pretty quickly too...but do you "beat" the game running through on the lowest difficulty level? Does that stop (most) people from running through the whole thing again at higher difficulty?

People who are GAMERS get the game, and will have fun with it. HATERS that want it to fail will see all of the faults and make mole hills into mountains to knock a good game.

I paid $90 for the "Guardian Edition", and while I am just a few hours into the game, I feel that I am going to get more than my money's worth out of the game.

tl;dr Haters gonna hate.

You're only a few hours into the game. Shouldn't you finish playing it before calling it a good game?

I think I have played enough of it to know what the game is about...I haven't seen all of the environments yet, but I have played a couple PvP matches and played most of the "Earth" story.  Most importantly, I kept playing past my normal bed-time last night and kept saying "one more mission"!  It's been a while since I felt compelled by a game to keep playing....

I guess a LOT of people are just hoping the game will be great/succeed, then following up with posts and reviews that prove their myopic points.

So he basically rushed through it. White Knight Chronicles 2 had a ton of extra quest content that could be played offline or with six players online. Very hard offline which is unfortunately the only option now. Finishing the game normally you'd be capped at level 65, but getting to GR18 allows the player to level up to 80 with various different weapons and armor once you reach there. There are also around five quests each GR that you go up.

There really needs to be a WKC3 or something similar. :(. Destiny seems to be an FPS built around the same concept as WKC.

OMG.......get out of my head. I feel the same way. Here is to hoping for WKC3.
