TBH I dislike Microsoft because they devalued console gaming. Except the online play they have done nothing for console gaming. They should have stayed in PC and became the equivalent of valve. They nearly destroyed console gaming with DRM. They have very little cash and capable studios (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=125163689&postcount=7090) to make real exclusives. If they just stayed in PC it would be great for everyone.

Correct me if I am wrong but sony did exactly 0 things for gaming.  Even the now "dead" sega did more for gaming than Sony.

And NO making gaming mainstream is not a positive thing at all.  its a negative thing since games get worse (just look at movies, and music and everything that becomes mainstream)

Your wrong. The main reason we have Disc Format, dual analogs, or even have Microsoft in the console industry is because of Sony. If you were part of the God Race you would understand that.

The god race thing of your reply is confusing but lets assume everything you say is no joke but your opinion.

Yeah right. The main reason for dual analogs is of course not the single analog with seperate camera buttons on the N64.....
The main reason for a disk format is also not the SuperNintendo addon where Nintendo partnered with Sony because Nintendo wanted to use CD ....

But you are right about the Microsoft thing  without Sony there would probably not be a Microsoft console but lets just ignore that without Nintendo there would be no Sony console.  Also dont forget that the PS2 is the reason Sega died.

I had a PS1 still have PS2 several PS3s PSP Vita and a PS4 but IMO my point still stands.

Camera Buttons which became the D pad

Super Nintendo Addon developed by Sony

See the difference between you and me, is that I recognize that all consoles and the companies who make them have merits in the industry. Merits, that I recognize as being worth more then pointless petty differences of opinion.

That keeps me from making a biased flamebaitesque comment such as Sony did 0 things for gaming.

You are entitled to your opinion, but your opinion is worthless to anyone who is concerned about Sony, while my opinion is actually useful to people who are concerned about gaming which includes Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, PC, Casuals, Hardcore, Girls, Kids, Moms, Grandmoms, Otaku, etc. Gamers.

That's what it means to be a God Gamer.

Keep being a god-gamer if you want but you should know that if you are as much of a god as Naughty Dogs are Naughty Gods who release a game that drops to 18 FPS (The Last of Us) and that make a trilogy of which just part 2 is great (Uncharted)... well my condolences.

I still dont know why In a thread about Microsoft someone (Sony fan) thinks saying Microsoft did nothing for console gaming  was a good idea  and when I replied that "if someone did nothing for gaming it was sony" you show up and argue with me rofl.

What would happen if I try to find how you argued with the guy that said Microsoft did nothing for gaming?  Exactly nothing! Why?  Because you are unbiased and you are someone that shows respect where respect is due right? The sheer amount of unbias made your reply to daredevil.shark (where he bashes MS) invisible right?

whatever I dont feel the need to be a god gamer I prefer being a real one instead.

Don't care, didn't affect my enjoyment of the game.

Just because I'm disagree with you, doesn't mean I'm agreeing with him.

He's wrong and I've told him on many occasions that he's wrong, he even called me an MS fan at one point irc. In fact, I've told him already what MS contributions are in this thread about 2 months ago: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=186692&page=1

The only difference between a real gamer and a god gamer is that a god gamer owns all the major platforms. Fact is if you companies are more important to you then games, your not a gamer.

I mean I never said Microsoft did nothing for gaming, if anything you are the only one throwing stones in this convo.

it doesn't matter if you do it, because as you said "Its my rules", and its not a discussion

Sunset Overdrive is just one of those games that is trying to hard to be cool.

That is EXACTLY how I see it too.  The gameplay I have seen looks EXTREMELY boring to me.  I think it will bomb hard once it's out and the reviews come in.

I dont know where these guys are coming from but they are funny. Anyone who believes that an all digital console will have the same discounts as PC is living in a fantasy world. That is a closed system meaning they can charge whatever the hell they want and they know it, which is why MS tried to do that half ass nonsense they tried last year. Either you do things normally or you go all digital. IMHO an all digital will fail hard cause people will just game on PC. I think MS knows that which is why they didnt even go that far.

And lol to thats the future. I can still get books, cds and movie in physical format hell im getting Winter Solider just like that tommorow.

In order for a digital console to occur the consoles will need competition in their market places. At the moment MS, Sony and Nintendo currently only have their own shops which fix prices for as long as they can (Titanfall is sill £55 on Xbone Store, £20 in shops). If retailers were allowed to set up their own competing stores from the Xbox Menu to compete then prices will come down and a digital only console could happen.

PC gaming is cheaper for a few reasons (lack of having to pay console commission is one) but also because good competition is in place to have great deals and offers as well as competative pricing for new titles. Console stores have none of this, it's RRP or nothing.

I got Winter Soldier last week, best Marvel movie made yet. I also bought 2 graphic novels recently, I'm never going to read those on a ipad or phone, the idea of that is laughable.

Errrrr... the price on PSN store is set by the publisher... as is the discounts on PSN and PS+... on the PS+ case Sony enter to have a subsizing fee for the discount to take place, anything else is dictated by the publisher (same case in PSNow).

I have my doubts that Sunset Overdrive is a true 'exclusive exclusive'

Errr... yeah, that's what an RRP is. My meaning is that the PS store shouldn't just be a front for Publishers to rip consumers off. With PS Store prices match RRP at time of release but they match the same as shop prices, sometimes more because of high street competition. Destiny for example, you can get it online now for £35 to £40 for PS4, on PS Store it's £55 on PS4. Yet, there isn't the store commision, there isn't packaging to pay for and as a consumer you can't 'take it back/trade it'. A lot more profit.

What PS Store should be is like any other high street store, and they should inviting other high street and internet stores to have the same functionality on the PS4 with shops that compete, with discounts and things.

Publisher may set the RRP for the PS and Live store but when it comes to online and highstreet retails their RRP is instantly reduced to be competative.

Hmm, pie.

And why would any publisher allow multiple digital stores inside the same enviorement just to predate the price they set? And it aint RRP in PSN it is fixed price (or discount) since Sony by themself (as the store owner) can't change the price.
